Do we honestly believe that they originally sold many of the Bath Towel for £42!? Even John Lewis' own brand 700gsm Egyptian Cotton Bath Towel is only £15 normally (£10.50 in their sale).

Can you recommend any good towels? I can't make out what's a good price!

Would also like to know as need a couple of good quality towel sets.
After a load of Googling around, it appears that Turkish cotton dries quicker than Egyptian, single loop is softer, double is more absorbent, don't use fabric conditioner on towels and 700gsm is thicker however there appears to be a preference on thickness.
I'm just glad I returned the Christy Debenhams towels, they looked great, but found them to be surprisingly thin.

After much perusing of every store in the world (it seemed) we settled on Egyptian Cotton from Dunelm own brand - best mix of price Vs softness Vs thickness. I think bath sheets were £17 each. Currently £14.40 in their sale. This purchase was a year ago, and they are just as good now despite repeated washing and tumble drying.
