Yes. I liked it ... up to a point. I like the studio (Frogwares), especially their Lovecraft game, The Sinking City. And this game has some good cases to solve, as you play a younger Sherlock Holmes. At the same time, I also found it a touch boring in parts. Unlike their earlier Holmes games, this one's open world - but there's very little to do apart from solving the cases, so it feels a bit empty and pointless. I also prefer my Holmes stories to be set in smog-filled Victorian London, not some sunny (Mediterranean?) island - it just doesn't feel right. Also, without giving any spoilers, Holmes' companion isn't John Watson - they've not met yet - which also isn't really what I want from a Sherlock Holmes game. Finally, combat is very poor - slow and awkward, probably would have been better to have just not had any. I did enjoy my time with the game overall, with decent cases and writing, but it's not one for action/combat fans (or Holmes purists). Probably a 6, maybe a 7, out of 10 for me. (edited)
