List price is 26,66 euros. With the 4 euros shipping it works out as £22.90 delivered.

Still not released in the UK on Bluray. All 14 Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes films form 20th Century Fox and Universal. This is the KOCH media boxset released in Germany and Italy. For some reason the Italian release is cheaper to buy from Amazon Spain. All the extras from the massively expensive (£70+) US region A release are included. At under £1.70 per film it is a no brainer for fans of old Universal movies from the '40s

Not bad OP lol. :-)

Great share. But, I actually owned the USA bluray box set and I was extremely disappointed with the bluray transfer. Picture quality was variable within the same movie. To be honest I am sure the prints were different to the ones used in the DVD box set. Picture quality on bluray was no better( worse in some cases) than the DVD. I was so disappointed with the picture quality that I sold the bluray box set and went back to the DVD.

Good sport, ordered my copy.

Thanks

Sorry, I meant "good spot".

Well for anyone that doesn't have the DVD's even then this is still a great deal!

Very nice spot. I have the old MPI US DVDs still sitting unwatched

Fingers crossed this is still there on payday!

Basil Rathbone is great

Koch Media releases are usually very well mastered - not Masters of Cinema level but certainly up there with Arrow or Optimum. In fact the only duff Blu-ray of late from them was their Battlestar Galactica box set which veered from razor sharp 38+ MB pictures to unbearably grainy on the dark scenes. Given that a lot of the Holmes films are set in the dark or at night I'd buy this on price alone and prepare for grain..

Que tal estas Senor Watson?

Basil Rathbone ftw

Thanks OP

Don't understand why Amazon are selling the Italian set on the Spanish site for less than it costs on the Italian site. But voted hot!

The REAL Joe Dante!? Ordered this. "Silver bullets, my ass."

Same thing with the German David Lynch 'LA Trilogy' BD set. Pretty cheap on Amazon.es.

I have both the DVD and Bluray versions of this. The Bluray is about 30-40% clearer and detailed in comparison. The lighting is also more uniformed too, as with the DVD version, it looks like the middle area is somewhat brightened as if someone is pointing a flashlight at it.

Now 61 euros
