I’m not usually one to criticise these, but that really is a drastically crap line up of games.
If this is the gonna be the standard, I think they should wrap up GwG and just encourage people to subscribe to Game Pass.

Totally agree with you there it's becoming worse and worse every month, sad really, I'm excited and waiting for the reveal every month and 9 out of 10 times it's a disappointment

I think the fact that the two XB1 games have been in game pass for months is a bit poor. It’s not like getting them with gold means you own them outright now - they still become unplayable if your gold subscription stops.

Relic of the past, rather they get rid of it and focus on bringing more top games to gamepass

I believe it was given away with a Mixpot, iirc?
Embarrassingly bad.....
Sherlock needs to investigate what on Earth they’re playing at!
I don’t mind this month at least it’s some games I don’t have on Xbox. Happy with Sherlock Holmes and Star Wars

Sure but Game Pass games get straight up removed even if you continue paying.

Only on Mixer. I got it for peanuts off a Fanatical bundle on Steam though.
I'm only after a single game every month that I'm interested in for the price I pay, and this month is the Star Wars game, so I'm happy
shocking

I don't believe it has.

What you might be thinking of is that a couple of E3 events ago it was given away in the MixPot for watching on Mixer; that's where I got my copy.
I had the mixpot 👌🏽
Final Station was free via mixer app during E3, not GWG
Of course the quality of games is going to go down, doesn't mean it should end, people would still pay for Gold even if there was no freebies as they did for many years before GWG
We're less than year away from the new console probably being available so I would also guess a lot of the decent games are being held back for that console so when people see Gamepass and the GWG, its more tempting to purchase.
Not just that but ever since Gamepass, a lot games that end up free on GWG will go through GP first
Looking forward to Sherlock, will give final station a try, joyride will likely go untouched and yet another poor original xbox offering (think it's the rare case with orig xbox games I'd rather it be something I have so that I can get rid of the physical copy).
I'll be too busy with the Outer Worlds and Forza Horizons 4 on Game Pass but these GWG are stinky ....

I don't think this is the case, and I'd be shocked if Xbox Live Gold in its current state exists on Scarlett. I remember noise circulating earlier this year regarding a possible tiered subscription for the Xbox console. At the time the theory was that Xbox Live would have three separate memberships, and I believe a questionnaire was distributed to ask questions along the line of the proposed rumours. I can't remember the actual set up of the tiers, but they were something like this -

Xbox Live Silver (no online play)
Xbox Live (online play / no games)
Xbox Live Gold (online play / monthly games).

Xbox Game Pass has been thrown absolutely hard at Xbox owners this past 6 months, from 3 year sign-ups for a £1 to 2 months for £2. Microsoft want everybody into Xbox Game Pass, and they want all their gamers to see the benefits of it. There's benefits to both us as the consumer and Microsoft. We on one hand have 36 months of quality game titles given to us every month for the next 36. Microsoft have increased the lifeline of Gold and Game Pass for a massive majority of its customer base well into the first 18 months or so of Xbox Scarlett, who's not going to jump onboard their next generation of console with that?

This is all just my theory, mind you, but I think this is where Game Pass may come into play. Get rid of the Games with Gold monthly offerings, and offer the rumoured services as they are already available. Xbox Live Silver (as already exists), Xbox Live Gold (no games, purely online play) or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (Gold subscription and digital game service).
Sherlock Holmes is sweet, I've already played it but anyone who hasn't shouldn't be moaning.

I have a theory that you’ll be posting the ps plus games soon, better be some bangers
Already played Sherlock Holmes, Final Station and Joy Ride Turbo thanks to Game Pass. Another month with nothing to download
Joy ride is a great game for younger gamers looking forward to having a go at sherlock Holmes not bothered about the other two games
A pretty disappointing month IMO. I already had Final Station from the E3 MixPot and I’m not interested in the other games really. I played the first SH game and didn’t really like it.
