these are very good quality for the money, you could buy 5 for the price of a hope and even more for a chris kings, takes the regular shimano hollowlink 2 spindle of 24mm, and fits a 68/73mm threaded bottom bracket.

comes in retail packing with the TL-FC25 tool to fit.. 9worth a couple of quid)

if you go via quidco, activate the £2.50 offer and you'll get it for under a tenner.

its a bottom bracket, the unit/bearings that fit into the frame to put the crankset/pedal arms into., ive red circled it

So I take it you only replace if the original part wears out

Anyone know if these sizes are a standard fitment, even for older bikes?

May sound a daft question but I've got a couple of older bikes (10/20 years old) that could do with new bb bearings.

The thread on these bottom brackets should be compatible with your frames, However, you'll need matching HollowTech II Chainsets to make this work for you.
