I've been mulling it over all day. What do I need more Ps Vr V2 or PS4 pro with RDR2 and I've decided I need neither but bought both. I can't wait to see the Mrs face when both turn up on Monday :-/

There’s likely to be a much improved psvr for that as this one has many limitations such as low res screen, no camera in the headset etc which all of the newer vr models have....

All very well saying that but 2020 is ages away so for the sake of 180 quid amount of time and fun you will have in that time is more than worth it you could also have the same argument on just about anything ooo I don't want a new t.v. as there will be a new 1 or oooo I don't want a new car as there will be a new 1.
I personally don't care about this becoming obsolete. I purchased last months game deal 249.99 with astrobot and super hot plus move controllers and now TV. I think it's a great intro into vr and affordable. Admittedly more crap than good out there but I've had some amazing experiences in just under a month that I couldn't of got for that price on any other vr set up especially as I don't own a p.c.

Same price at Game but with Resident Evil 7 and NowTV voucher too..
Same at Amazon, but with Doom VR, if you prefer?

Quite a few PS4VR package deals coming out, but none of them have the move controllers.

I can only recall Currys, which was for £209.99. Want to see more of these deals

I said this on another thread and got flamed I also put about Sony stopping making the PS4 and making only the PS4 pro until of course the PS5 is released.

Flames or not it’s a decent price as long as you know it’ll be obsolete in about a year. The motion controllers alone need a complete revamp having to move using the buttons is ridiculous.
I don't see this as a good deal. The games are and I'd like to see some move controllers included also
Edited by: "stevo6105" 18th Nov 2018
Sony announced very few new titles for the ps4 in q3, you know where all their development efforts are right now. I think next year is going to be a consolidate and wind down with loads of ps5 hype in the middle of the year

Deaf ears, they lap this garbage up. Vr is dying, who ever even mentions it these days.

Same I just purchased a couple of days ago and the fun me and the family have had is amazing so if anyone was on the fence I would say get it 100 percent 180 is a bargain

Anyway Sony won’t reales it I till 2021. Still PlayStation 4 and psvr is best selling gaming products.

Yep, totally agree.
2 years is a long time and ive had a lot of fun with mine in the last 6 months or so. If an enhanced one comes out in 2 years, ill probably buy that as well, and i wont be crying about the £250 i spent on the first version. Thats the nature of consoles.
It won’t be 2021 it will be well within 2020 and there is good reason for that, there is no way Sony will want a 2021 release date as 2020 is seen as the next big date with digit change, it’s not just Sony lots of companies are looking to launch new products in 2020
It was originally rumoured as a possible 2019 release but 2020 is more realistic

Maybe 2020, but how long before it drops to a price like this? There are more than enough quality games on this to tide people over until the next one gets supercheap.

Don’t get me wrong there are a handful of good games on the psvr that don’t cause motion sickness after playing for 20 mins. All I am saying is there is a reason Sony are dropping the prices and promoting it as a brilliant deal, just don’t expect too many more high end vr titles to come out in the next 12 months. Actually don’t expect that many more high profile PS4 titles to come out next year as all efforts are going to be on the ps5 and developers will be focused on launch titles

You realise that a 2020 release date is likely to be at least 18 months away yeah? And that the improved PSVR and PS5 combined is likely to cost the best part of £800? PSVR current gen is great right now, and for £200 with games, if you already have a PS4, it's a no-brainer.
VR Worlds and Astrobot are both perfectly good titles. VR Worlds has been loaded up countless times as a way to introduce VR to friends (I'm sure I'm not alone in that). Astrobot is a top title. But who cares? There are so many free demos, cheap games like Superhot, Bound, Thumper, Raw Data only £7.99 right now, RecRoom is free which I'm spent longer on that any other game (the Jumbotron quest is insanely addictive), watching MP4s in your own private cinema via Littlstar, Netflix/Prime/2d games on a simulated huge screen. The included games really aren't that relevant, within weeks (days?) you'll be on your way with loads of other stuff.
Wow, so we got people are trying to dissuade others from jumping on a good deal PSVR because they believe the next PlayStation will be out in 2020? How many years away is that again?

Sony trying to dump them? Is that gibberish for "sell them", like most good companies want to do?

Sony has 3 of their studios working on VR games, and we really don't know what the external development holds for PS4.

Exactly the same as you once the ps5 and a new vr come along I will more than likely pick them up and for now these are more than good enough for the next 2 years .
I just hope the ps5 has the power to run 2 vrs at once as it would be good to be able to watch a 3d movie with someone else with them on and also play 2 player

That's for you though. It varies from person to person. For others like myself, there is a healthy number of good games that don't give us VR sickness at all. I haven't felt wobbly once trying any VR game, and I've had it over a year.

Have you played it? It's a platformer, so it obviously depends on whether you like that genre, but it is indeed regarded as one of the best, with some comparing it to Mario in terms of quality - 90 critic score/89 user score on Metacritic.
Still a rip off. Need to spend another £70 for two dildo controllers

Your comment is falling on deaf ears, I'm afraid

It's clear that they haven't tried the games, don't care to, they find more value in describing how people look when playing despite that being irrelevant. Ignores that VR is a growing medium that is neither dying nor is a waste of money for people who have played it and enjoyed it, many of whom say that it's a revelation and one of the best gaming experiences they've had and want to continue having these unique and unprecedented gaming experiences, as they become better over time.

Of course, this isn't going to reflect all gamers as it's not for everybody (including those who get motion sickness), but 3 million PSVR headsets sold is pretty great for a piece of tech that has cost the same as the console itself for a long time, and has a relatively limited selection of games compared to the PS4 itself, and has only been available for 2 years.

Someone else mentioned Beat Saber in another deal thread but it comes out soon for PSVR - looks really fun and I have never been a fan of rhythm games... Everybody's Golf in PSVR looks like it would be fun, too!
