Chanchi is on form today!
Done this a couple of times (it’s been posted before) Very good value. Will definitely be doing it again this year.

If you follow the link and read the info

Some of our hotels can cater for larger families with up to 3 children, see the booking page for details.

Hi, I have a question, can we visit one of the attractions before we go to hotel, or do we need to do hotel first and attractions will be available after we check out? Thanks.
How can I fit 3 attractions into one overnight stay or am I misunderstanding this?would love to take my sons to the national space centre . Thanks !
We've done this a couple of times. We're fortunate enough to live close enough that any of the attractions can be done as a day trip. We used our hotel stay and space centre in Feb half term last year, visited Twin Lakes in the summer and Twycross in November. Great to spread out the fun.

There is now a Warwick/Stratford option as well for £189 for a family of four with 11 day trip options including Warwick Castle, The Royal Shakespeare Company, British Motor Museum and MAD museum. Well be looking into that this year

Once you book you print out the vouchers. You can use them anytime I think in the year.

Hiya you can add an extra night... We did one attraction on the way then one on each of the days. Some attractions you could do two in a day tho.
Would highly recommend Hinckley island. Huge rooms and lovely hotel.

Last year, you had until 31st December to use vouchers so it made sense to book earlier.

Terms and conditions this year say vouchers are valid for 1 year from date of hotel stay so if you'd prefer to use the accommodation in the summer you could still use days out the following year.

It was when we went October 2016. It's the same price all year except the bank holidays. The price has crept up tho. You would be better then booking through hotels.com etc.. Use voucher codes tho.

The space station really wasn’t worth the money it charged in my opinion. I was looking forward to it but most of the displays were broken. Long waits for everything. The only thing I enjoyed was the planetarium. You’d only need a couple of hours here at the most. It’s definitely not an all day thing.

I usually look on here at the voucher codes..I then book through quidco hotels.com and if you don't use a voucher code they give you one night free for every ten you book. I use them for holidays so it quickly adds up.. Just check you aren't over-paying by looking at the hotels own site and a couple of other hotel booking sites? You will get really good at it!

Thank you so much. Will decide on a date and get researching! The attractions you mentioned, are they far from each other? I'm in the north east so would rather do them all together if possible as don't think any are particularly close to me. Again though still need to investigate which one let children go free as maybe cheaper to book alone separately

I think within thirty minutes but check Google maps? Also you maybe able to get cheap attraction tickets using the Leicestershire tourist card. I had one but can't recall what we got free with it.. Also some attractions of you but a cheap local rail ticket.. You get but one get one free or a discount just Google both things and see if useful to you?
As others have said, this was formerly a great value deal at £109 for the package - but the price hike to "from" £149 isn't justified. (I contacted them to have a winge about it & they claimed that the cost of the attraction tickets had gone up a lot.) We did Twycross Zoo (just about ok but not memorable as zoos go), National Space museum (2hrs visit at most) & Conkers (which is 21 miles from Hinckley Island hotel and a very run down attraction, TBH). If they can afford to offer an extra night's accommodation deal for an additional £50 - 60 they're effectively charging approx £35 per attraction ticket, which isn't great value for money overall. Also, do be aware that although the Space Centre normally offers an annual ticket for the cost of a one visit entry price, they won't honour it on this ticket deal.

The Space place is better than described above plus there is another museum next door with steam engines and a sewage works that most kids will enjoy.
Went for this when it was cheaper a few years back. The hotels were average, but the attractions were overcrowded and unorganised, especially the space centre.

Twinlakes is basically a farmers version of Lightwater valley and only really suited for those wanting to see farm animals. Take a mask to ease off the constant smell of animal poo everywhere you go.

To be fair, I've done this quite a few times since it was launched and the price has only gone up slowly, it didn't jump from 109 to 149 in one go. i still can't find any way of doing it for anyhting like that rpice.

Ok, fair enough - 2013 & 2014 = from £109; 2015=from £129; 2016 from £139; 2017 & 2018 from £149.

However, you could easily beat this deal by staying in a Premier inn (currently from £31 for a family room plus £17.98 for 2 adult breakfasts (2 kids eat free) - and then make use of the regular voucher deals for most of the attractions you want to visit. (e.g. Conkers is regularly less than £20 for a family ticket on Wowcher; King Richard III centre is £21 for a family ticket) which leaves you another £50 to spend on any other attractions that you may wish to visit. (Personally, I would recommend that you use the money to go on a brilliant steam train ride at the Great Central Railway - family ticket=£40).

that's helpful, thanks. I guess it's just a case of the right offers being avialable at the right time and my kids would go on strike if i told them we were going somewhere that didn't have a swimming pool!

Just noticed something with one of the "included" attractions. Leicester …Just noticed something with one of the "included" attractions. Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre takes you to an online booking page where you redeem your Stay, Play, Explore voucher as you have to pre-book the activity. In the instructions it says you will have to pay the £9 balance upon arrival per person. The activity you are getting is only £10 anyway to just book normally. So the Stay, Play, Explore you have bought gives you a £1 discount!!!!! Talk about misleading. Shame as I thought they had added a few more options as it used to be 3 out of 5 possible attractions.Go Leicestershire! Stay Play Explore AdventureYour voucher entitles each person on your holiday to one of our single Adventure Club activities. You can all do the same activity or pick different things. However, you must all attend on the same day. Feel free to book more activities! If you are visiting during a school holiday or a weekend we usually have a variety of activities on offer. Your booking will be listed as paid, as you have booked using a voucher discount code so you will just need to pay the balance of £9 per person on arrival. You can also book our 3 hour multi activity afternoons, which run at the weekends. However, you will need to pay an additional £10 per person on arrival. When you arrive you will be expected to give us your printed ticket which we will then verify against your booking and the Go Leicestershire website, and request any balance is settled prior to your first activity.

Surely this means you have to pay extra if you book extra activities, in addition tothe free ones you get with your voucher?

Contacted Go Leicestershire and they said this was a mistake in the T&Cs and has now been removed so there wouldn't be any additional payment required.
Hi Im thinking of doing this, which hotel is the best/closest to the space centre ? And does anybody know if theres anything else to do the next day near the space centre ( I will be saving my other 2 days out for later on in the year as we will be going in March)

Also if I book the hotel for say the 12th can I visit the space centre on the 12th or does it have to be the day after. Apologies if these questions have already been asked and TIA
