Shovel Knight amiibo (Contains Physical DLC for 3DS & Wii U) - £10.50 (Prime) / £12.49 (non Prime) @ Amazon / £10.50 at Tesco

Update: £10.50 at Tesco with free C&C ~ tesco.com/dir…714 or Sega Sykes for £10.50.

Tried to look around for the cheapest place and most have it for £12.85 and up (maybe Flubit could knock it down to £9 but I dunno as I've not tried it).

The Shovel Knight amiibo features the following physical DLC content:
- Local Co-Op
- Exclusive Challenge Stages
- Customisable Gear

It's fully compatible with the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game.

Also, don't forget if you want to sell the Shovel Knight amiibo to CeX then they're paying £5 for it so you'd end up getting it for £5.50 in the end.

Wow, co-op is locked away behind Amiibo dlc?
£10.50 at Tesco Direct, with free click and collect.

I think the Amazon price is a Tesco price-match...

They seem to be price-matching everything at the moment.

Swings in roundabouts - Yacht Club gave away a new story dlc campaign for free. Not agreeing with the practice but there are far worse franchises that do this *cough* skylanders *cough

Skylanders worse than Amiibo? At least with Skylanders they're playable characters for the specified game they come with (or promoted for) whereas Amiibos have physical DLC locked away.
Physical?
OP, when you say physical DLC, by this do you mean a full version of the game via DLC? I'm guessing so but just want to be sure. Thanks

Physical?

Physical figure - Digital dlc.

Edit;
But the other way to look at it is. The dlc is locked to the figure. You can't normally purchase it by credit. So Nintendo sell "physical dlc."

This.
I'd rather pay for something physical and tangible. If I pay for digital content like the extra Mario Kart 8 tracks I have nothing physical for the investment.

The Amiibos are a good trade-off as although I am still having to pay to unlock content in a game at least I have the little ornamental statue (which some are very nice) and quite collectible.

Please do. Balls to Amazon's 2-tier pricing system. At least Tesco never ask for a bung to get treated differently.

I'm guessing button function will be next.
You've reached the end of the platform, to jump, buy the jump amiibo!
Despicable practice.

Want to play the game? Please first purchase our amiibo, tap it and then you will be able to play it.

Seems like a great idea.

Can't stand any of the T2L stuff tbh, m8, son's gone through Skylanders (from Giants onwards), onto Infinity and pretty soon, that Lego rubbish.
These Amiibo's don't quite possess the functionality for some reason; too sporadic and limited in their usage.
Although I would like to thank Nintendo for letting me play 3 mins of various games from their back catalogue by placing Amiibos on my gamepad.
At least I think it's 3 whole mins.
Words fail me.

I joked about it but there's something like it:

Considering they cost even more than an actual VC game the one thing they could do is include a VC game with each one.
