Good price, but any platformer trying to compete with Mario Odyssey at the end of the week is going to struggle!

It's part of the Halloween sale. This is just the highlights. Their Twitter says there's over 100 games across the Switch, 3DS and Wii U

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is apparently cheaper on the japanese store at £14.40 for those that want to save a little more for a digital title.

looks to be a few games hitting the sales across the regions.

The My Nintendo discount for Luigi mansion 2 comes off the sale price bringing it down to 11.51 if anyone was looking at that

If console not linked to an NNID it's cheaper on SA eShop (£10.60)

I'm wondering if there will be a physical release of this now that limitedrungames have stated they will be releasing switch games.

This is a pretty stellar price, it already includes 3 campaigns (1 for each character) with another coming early next year as well as a VS-mode (which are including in the price)

As far as sale prices go, it's pretty poor. However, both Shovel Knight:TT and Axiom Verge are well worth these adjusted prices. Both essential titles.

You can't really compare Shovel Knight or Axiom Verge - two 2D retro inspired platformers - with the 3D modern, vibrant AAA game that is Odyssey. Saying that, all my focus is on Odyssey.

As far as sales go those are pretty poor deals apart from snake pass. Looks like nintendo are continuing the 3ds and wii u trend of discounting games by 20 percent and that's that. They should really look at the model psn and xbox live have adopted which is much closer to the steam sales model. As much as I love nintendo I picked up shovel Knight on xbox for 7 pound. Double dipping at 18 pound is just silly. I won't even start with the binding of issac pricing lol

I don’t thinks it’s Nintendo that decides. Hey merely facilitate it. The publishers I assume are the ones who decide the pricing.

One day - just one day - Nintendo might actually have a sale that feels like you're getting a good deal.

Nintendo never dictates the prices for non-Nintendo products on the eShop. Best Bring up your pricing grievances with the various developers and publishers.

Or £14.93 on SA shop for less hassle (at least I've found the JP store experience much stressful - simple Revolut works with SA).

Shovel Knight is the same price on the 3DS! I'm sure, with this being a Nintendo platform, it won't be cross-play right? If not, which version would you guys recommended?

Bought Axiom, Thimbleweed, Shovel Knight & bulb boy. Can't beat a few indie titles on the go!!

Probably the Switch version since you can play it on the TV and portable too.

Yeah revolut on russia and south africa store is how ive bought all my digital games. Its way cheaper even when uk store has them on sale

For those wanting to compare other eStore prices this is the best site eshop-prices.com/

It lists all the Nintendo Switch games on the various eStores.

Fantastic deal! I finally signed up for Revolut and am using the SA store to get some of these a bit cheaper. Some superb titles in here. Nabbed Shovel Knight, Axiom Verge, Bulb Boy, Snake Pass and Thimbleweed Park. I've run into my daily limit now so going to wait that out and then probably grab Butcher and maybe Severed.

That's the thing, they're both portable consoles but I can't decide over either playing on the TV or seeing the game in 3D. Thanks for the reply

I would go with the switch version unless you like the novelty of playing in 3d, but look at this way you either have SWITCH: Portability including coop mode on the go and TV MODE or 3DS: Portability and 3D. In the end the choice is yours!

I didn't know about co-op!? Well the Switch version it is. Thank you

Which version of shovel knight were you looking at? Co-op is only available for Treasure Trove at the moment. Sorry should have asked and stated that in my other post.

Yes it was the Treasure Trove version

Is it worth getting the full Treasure Trove? I played the original Shovel Knight on vita and loved it but I'm currently between this and Axiom Verge, and snake pass. Thoughts?
