I love shure and they get a good review here:

Not everyone's cup of tea though, very clean sound, i.e. they don't try to reproduce you having a subwoofer. You can hear the bass line fine, but it's doesn't thump through your head, which i prefer, but some dr dres i think wouldn't.

Can confirm the quality is excellent on Shure headphones. I've purchased the se110s on Play some time ago when they were on offer for ~£30, which was a steal. Seems that Shure headphones do come around on offers every now and then, so maybe worth a wait if you're not desperate?

They seem to be on sale at Pixmania for 63.71 (in stock and possible quidco) and EWLink for 59.61 (never heard of these). Probably delivery to be added to these, but possibly worth a look if you want to spend this much on headphones.

Another thing to keep in mind is the warranty on them. I bought some Shure SE110 for £25. Im very tough on them using them virtually every day and they get stuffed in my pocket. Due to this the wiring by the 3.5mm jack comes loose and Shure has replaced them no questions asked.

On my 3rd pair in 2 years. A steal at £25. I will wait for a slightly better deal but heat added.

Ditto that. I punished my SE210s and cracked a cable, no questions, brand new pair once I returned the old units. Full boxed with accessories too, which i hadn't had to return, leaving me with spares ;o)

I recommend these, they sound awesome, although I have seen them cheaper than this at times (I paid circa £90 3 years ago).

I got mine(black version) from amazon 2yrs ago for £59.99(had got the ipod touch 16gb so got these to go with it) , didn't use them too much but have started to regulary over the last couple of months tho listening to audiobooks on my htc desire(initially on the touch hd then got the desire 2 weeks back). going to put my music on the desire once I get the 16gb micro card(ordered last night).

just ordered the se420 white off amazon for ~£135, was trying to stop myself but couldn't resist at that price(even ebay has them currently at £150, most other places have them £170+) .

google shopping find loads of shops selling these for around £60

e.g.

ewlink.co.uk/shu…asp

I'm sure some people post deals so others do the work for them

only problem there is those sites are unknown, you could end up with nothing in return for spending £60. I'd rather spend a little extra at a known and trusted site.

the se420 came yesterday(yesterday as it's well after midnight), have opened them up and checked to see everything is in there. not used them yet, going to try them out over the weekend most likely(compare them with the se210).

Yes I do agreed with fowler. I like to buy from amazon because the item will be genuine and if you not happy you can return then easily.
I don't think i will be receiving se210 this week due to volcanic ash problem since I live in Belfast.

I don't have a credit card, debit cards don't offer the same protection so can't really gamble.
but then I got it for £59.99 from amazon but it was 2 years ago, prices seem to have gone up.

wish the se420 was at the £130 price mark back when I got the se210, the se310 were at the price and from the reviews I've read for me not work double the price. the se420 were closer to the £200 mark and for me that was too much, the se530 was defo out the question as I'm not enough of a audiophile to justify that sort of price.
