I personally don't find this a bad price as pc is ranging from £17-£23 at quick glance.

Fair enough. :-)

But not quite a true like for like comparison though (if you're 'categorising' it in such a manner?).

As most people's will find, anything iOS related would tend to be more 'niché market' for the masses, whereas anything Window's related (in like fashion) would tend to be more mainstream stream market across the board for many, etc?.

Almost like some on here that are constantly comparing Android Device's to iOS Device's (which even though share a closer 'like for like' to each other, are still World's apart ... ) :-)
Anyone comment in how good this is on ipads?
I think this is really just for hardcore Civ fans who want to play on the go - like LONG plane journeys for example. Its incompatible with older iPads because it's such a beast, and that even gets the new iPads hot and puts a significant drain on the battery. Civ revolution 2 is available for a tenner on iPad and far more mobile/casual friendly.

Kudos to them though for a superb port of a top level strategy sim.

True, just the price for the same title am comparing. But then again most pc gamers would say 'Sub £10, then it's worth it'
great games, I wish more developers would sell games as a whole than add-ons with gems and coins.

Well, it's an expansive game. Specifically at the start you have to expand like crazy!
theres a trial which gives you a good idea of the game. i agree i still think its slightly expensive
