Ever tried the 3D interface to nethack?

Best £2.50 you will ever spend.

downloading now, thanks

This is the best of all of the Civilization series. Far better than Civ V. Buy it at your peril. You'll lose your social life playing it.

sad as it sounds i just cant get on with 4 or 5 and still play 3 alot

Noticed the £3.75 version had colonisation in with it, too. bought that version - i played the **** out of it in highschool

I bought this and all its expansions on the last sale.

Would i be better off just installing IV on its own, completing that then install expansions or just install the lot (i have no idea what these expansions do)?

I own Civ 4 on disk and Civ 5 but I still bought this, partly because Civ 5 is poo, and partly because of the convenience and COLONIZATION! It's been a while. Well worth £3.75!

Addiction has never been cheaper*

*Though I haven't checked if it has

Poundland glue sniffers would argue otherwise.

It's a great game. Buy it then DL Caveman2Cosmos and other amazing mods.

Great game at a great price. Definite heat!

It's nice that steam includes the option for Mac download. Mac gamers are usually left in the cold when it comes to deals

Simply the best.

Much better than CIV5.

CIV IV Beyond the Sword has it all.

Combine with this mod: forums.civfanatics.com/dow…838
(Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn......which is still being developed!)

...and say goodbye to your life.

great game, better than CIV 5. Still got the tech tree on the wall by my computer

Civ4:Colonization is a huge disappointment if you ever played the original Colonization.
Such a shame, as I think Colonization's mechanics were fundamentally much more fun than Civilization's.

Paid the extra £1.25 for the complete edition, bargain!

Thought I'd give it a go at that price. I went for the complete edition.

Thanks OP.

Does anyone else remember Civinet?

Warlords and beyond the sword are a must - just be careful as its very addictive and it will waste hours of your life just to get the title - Steve the unready!

Went with complete edition. Great price! Heat added.

If you dont like the Hex design of the new game then play Civ 4, i think Civ 5 is a better designed game overall but a lot of fans rag on it for taking away unit stacking and having hexes for tiles instead of squares. I like that artillery has a more prominent role and the maps are massive yet not engulfing. I think the hexes add more to the game and i think unit stacking was a big problem it basically became who had the biggest stack.

Ive played all the Civ's since Civ II which was a **** amazing game in the day, Alpha Centurai was great too.

I agree with Kieran D212. Civ 4 is a very good game. I think Civ 5 requires you to think a little more tactically. You could play Civ 4 for hours, only to be wiped out by someone who stacked 20 tanks on a square.

Anyone know if its likely to be able to run on a netbook or does it need something more beefy?

I played Civ 4 for about 10 hours a month or so ago when last on offer
Pretty graphics, I liked the civics feature, but not a patch on Civ III PTW. Looked through the civipedia out of interest, and no mention of nuclear subs, or cruise missiles, and a host of other units I loved in old game!? I gave up at that point and not played it since

Rise of Mankind a New Dawn mod, mate. Get it, play it, love it. Easy to install and adds everything you mention...AND A TON MORE!

AGHHH!!! I just added Civ 4 Complete Edition into my basket at £3.74, went to checkout and it was £14.99..... FFFFUFUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

expired

arrrrdg missed this

got me civ5 though on deal sometime back

To be honest though, I'd rather pay like £1-2 extra and get a nice boxed version rather than be tied to horrible Steam. Boxed, physical games, much nicer.
