I recently had to replace my washer dryer and the Siemens was always up around the £1100-1200 price tag, so I went for the Neff model instead but now the Siemens has dropped down to incredible £805, very good deal for the top model for those people who require a new built-in washer dryer.

The WK14D540GB has a B energy rating. The WK14D540GB has been rated with a A rating for wash performance and a B rating for its spin performance.

This Washer Dryer has a 6Kg wash load, which is ideal for the smaller household. It also has a 1400rpm spin speed and a quick wash functionality, so your clothes can be washed in no time. To offer peace of mind the Siemens WK14D540GB built in-integrated Washer Dryer also comes with 2 years warranty.

not that bad for decent stuff our top of the range miele washing machine was £920 (rrp £1200)....lol even john lewis dont sell it.....so quite on full spin you can whisper to people next to you unlike my mums bosch which sounds like concorde

Siemens are a good make, id rather pay a bit extra for decent quality...within reason

mind you 2 year warranty is a bit pathetic, ours came with a 10 year warranty

bought this one, you cant get it anymore but customer review tell it all tbh...id only ever buy a miele washing machine......our zanussi lasted 4 years, so buying cheaper makes can be false economy. Not only that the difference in quality is massive.

Ok its a lot of money for a washer dryer but this is a cheap price for this model, check out how much it is at John Lewis for example: johnlewis.com/231…257 (£1239!!!)

yeah the one that I replaced was over 10 years old and it was a Siemens so definitely a good investment. you seem to also pay a premium for built-in as the freestanding equivalents are a good few hundred cheaper.

This is being voted cold for the wrong reason........It is a great price for a top quality product, but most people will never pay this much for a washer dryer so they are voting (wrongly imo) cold.

Washer-dryers are expensive to start with and integrated ones like this are always VERY pricey, with a very limited range to choose from. Add that it's a great brand and should be very reliable and wash well, and that's it's down from £1,100 to just over £800, and this is a very hot deal.

Not every deal here has to be 20p tins of beans does it?!

Siemens some times do a 10year parts & labour warranty on the washing machines & 5 years on tumble dryers & dishwashers (co-op store offer). spent out about £900 on a siemens washing machine with 10yr warranty 8 years a go & was well worth it. Not voted !

Thanks RSteve, yeah they sure are pricey, got a shock myself but its a good brand and I know it will last, I'm just gutted I never got it at this price, I paid about £100 more for the Neff but they are basically the same machine anyway. Hopefully someone will be in need of this and grab a bargain.

yeah but I'm expecting it to last longer, they often do a 5 year warranty offer just not at this time (typical )

Couldn't agree more. This happens far too much. This part of the forum is all about posting deals and price reductions etc so you shouldn't be voting cold because you wouldn't pay that particular price for an item.

yeh neff stuff is very good and agree built in stuff is ALOT more expensive.

in our old house we bought a neff induction hob (latest craze then), built in double oven and built in dishwasher...always pays to shop around, paid about £1800 in a local euronics store who as near as poss matched net prices at our request (got to within £20!), comet wanted £2700 just for the oven and hob!!

our current house came with freestanding cheapo stuff but cant complain, indesit, hotpoint but in general cheap stuff doesnt last, looks ugly and is poorly made and weve replaced them with decent stuff

agreed, if i think something is expensive id state that in my post but id also not vote

Voted hot but as other have said can see it going cold as people do not seem to see the argument about paying a premium for quality that will likely be more economical in the long run.

One quality machine or 3 cheap machines over the same time period? That I think is the real question.

In my opinion, very good price for what it is (a wash dryer by a decent brand with 2 year warranty), but for value for money, not for me. With this money, you could buy a decent A rated 7kg washer with 5 year warranty, and a decent A rated 7kg dryer with 5 year warranty, have change, and have the washing done faster (dry separate load whilst washing the other, and larger loads).

I've not rated, but can see why some would rate this as cold, as it doesn't meet the value for money aspect.

There is no guarantee it will last. What if it breaks down after 2 years?
At this price, there should be a 10-year warranty as standard.
If Siemens believe their products are reliable then they should offer a 10-year warranty as it would not cost them anything. But if their products are not reliable, it will cost them.

A brand name cannot stand by its name. It needs to "put its money where it's mouth is" and offer a 10-year warranty.

One may be better off buying the cheapest with a long warranty.

Believe me if I had the space I'd have bought a separate washer and tumble dryer and probably saved myself a few quid but when you live in a flat, and only have room for an integrated, then not much option.

As for "Common Sense", I agree there is no guarantee but I'm just going by the last machine that lasted 10 years, fingers crossed this one lasts 10 too!

Yup, Miele head and shoulders above all the others. I couldn't run to one so bought a Bosch, but plan to buy in the future. Siemens is ok, and is one of next highest quality brands.

wish i could add more heat, good deal and excellent brand.

The Neff, Bosch and Siemens models all look to be identical, yet the prices aren't, Siemens seemed to be highest at the time.
