Siemens Fridge Freezer KG36VX27GB White £329 @ John Lewis

Siemens Fridge Freezer KG36VX27GB White £329 @ John Lewis

Found 10th Oct 2010
Siemens Fridge Freezer. I missed out on this last time there was an offer on and been looking out for it since. It's even cheaper this time round and is around £450 in most places, a good price and not much more than cheaper brands.

Now reduced to £429 plus if you have an old fridge to get rid of, they'll give you a further £100 off making it a fantastic £329 for a top quality Siemens product from one of the more reputable companies on the web!

The Siemens trade in offer ( is an in-store only promotion so you can't get it from most of the online outlets, John Lewis is one of the only ones. Just in case though, if you live near St Albans then Hispek is the place to go at £369.99 (-£100) or near Carlisle, Peter Tyson (£399 - £100). Otherwise, John Lewis is good and you'll get a 2 year warranty there too. I've no affiliation with any of these, just thought the extra info might help.

Product Information
With an A++ energy rating, the exemplary Siemens KG36VX27GB uses up to 45% less energy than a standard A-rated fridge freezer. This large model has also been designed to meet the fresh and frozen storage needs for you and your family.
The fridge gives you 4 height-adjustable safety glass shelves, a bottle rack for up to 3 standard bottles of wine, and a large salad drawer. Anti-bacterial protection is also incorporated into the interior walls.

The manual-defrost freezer has 3 transparent drawers, while the magnetic door seals are removable for easy cleaning and straightforward maintenance.

I've tried to get JL to price match this with the others, but they won't have any of it, citing the 1yr vs 2yr warranty.

I like that it only uses around £20 in electricity per year. Downside, not frost free, but well, I can live with that hassle I guess.

Good price I don't doubt but what has this got over similar models costing £299 - £350?

Siemens, Neff and Bosch are all the same brand. When I looked at this in John Lewis af ew weeks ago, the salesman showed me the interior of a Bosch FF- it was exactly the same, but cheaper.

The price actually comes out at £320, the discount code takes off £109. £100 Siemens offer and £9 that JL usually charge for taking old FF away. As for the warranty it comes with a 2yr Siemens anyway.

dealdvd, I think you have to select the "take away your old appliance" box under the terms, which adds £9, hence JL giving you a discount of £109 to make up for it.

ordered - just what we were looking for. Thank You!

A Bosch might be all but the same product, but I'm struggling to find a Bosch with similar specs for this price? Looking around they're at around £300+ and they don't appear to be have the same energy rating. Very tempted by the deal, but wondering if there might be some more before Xmas when presumably white goods sales are slow?

If you DONT tick the 'take away your old appliance' which is £9 it still takes off £109 at till so making price £320. I ordered one at Newcastle for £339 a week ago and when the price dropped a couple of days later i phoned the branch and they refunded me £19 making my price £320.

dealdvd, did you get the discount ok and they still took your appliance, or did you just get the discount regardless of trade-in?

Result! We needed a new fridge and live near St Albans so went into the shop and bought the Stainless Steel version of this one for £350!

Ohh now I got 5 days to find a old fridge to trade with as we don't have one currently!
