rrp is over-priced, this is about the right price, imo. Thanks for posting

Thanks to OP, I bought a set today.

The Gigaset phones are one of the few DECT phones on the market which can reduce transmission power based on how far the handset is from the base station. Also, when not in use, they can be set to Eco + mode which means they transmit zero power.

The majority of DECT phones (base stations) transmit 100% of the time on full power (even when not in use) which could potentially cause health problems. Many people have found their sleep patterns much better when switching to a Gigaset.

We switched to Gigaset for this reason alone and also turn off our Wifi Router at night. With three small children asleep very close to the router/phones we thought this would be a good idea. Better safe than sorry.

Cheers,
Tony
