I did not know Siemens make tablets. Have a few of the appliances. My thoughts are "this will be quality" Heat op

Damn bought a 16gb Samsung galaxy tab 2 7 inch yesterday for £60 from Sainsbury's, would have preferred this larger screen

good price!

I doubt this has anything to do with siemens, from the pictures and reviews i've seen this is a gigaset branded tablet, with no mention of siemens anywhere, meaning cheap chinese tablet whats using a good brand as a selling point

Bought one as Christmas present. Excellent value for money. The 8 inch screen is a must. Dont know how anyone manages with a 7 inch....way to small for browsing and only ok for emails at a pinch. Check out the review below from Techradar. It may not be able to compete with the big name brands in terms of spec but this is a really decent tablet for the money.

This is REFURBISHED item and from telephonesonline not Argos

Yeah sorry had 2 pages open got them mixed up

These low prices are amazing. The competition down the budget end of the market is becoming intense. A brand new LInx 10 half decent Win 8 10.1" screen tablet with 12 months Ms Office sub'n thrown in for £109.99 after £50 trade-in, is insane.

If anyone has personal experience of using one of these tablets - what's your verdict?

I've just returned my Tesco Hudl for repairs due to loose connections when trying to charge so I'm "tabletless" at the moment. This Gigaset looks good for the money?

I can say much that's positive between the words quality and siemens consumer electronics...

Makes a huge difference

apparently so ask my mrs

160 pixels per inch

bit too low for my liking

I own one of these, for watching videos, browsing, playing games etc its pretty good.I use it while on an hour commute to work. Battery life is very decent easily 5+ hours.

The only down side with the ppi is that sometimes when your clicking small buttons you have to press a few times to get it spot on, if you have a tablet pen i don't see this being a problem.

You'll need to expand the memory ( takes up to 32gb memory card which are around £10/£13 on amazon) and theres a few annoying system icons you can't hide but doesn't take much away from the overall experiance

Has play store and is compatible with sky go and other catch up services like iplayer.

It was in store sorry

I have the 2012 model of the nexus 7, I am looking for something larger and decent for watching programmes and movies on but don't wana spend more than £100 really, any suggestions or should I just stick it out with nexus 7?

I like my LG G Pad 8.3, but I doubt you'll find it new for 100 quid. The screen tech and res are very important for tablets IMHO and most sub-100 quid tablets fail quite badly on this (sorry, but 1024x768 on an 8" tablet in 2015 is appalling!). I still like my LG, especially since CyanogenMod 12 (aka the best way to run Android 5) is officially supported on it.

If you watch a lot of videos on your tablet like I (and you it seems!) do, then a 4:3 aspect ratio like this Siemens (or the disappointing Nexus 9) is a non-starter. Maybe the Hudl 2 with some Clubcard vouchers to bring the price down might be your best >7" bang-for-buck budget tablet right now.

Is it a deal? I'll give it heat for effort, I would rather buy a reconditioned Hudl as it's better spec'd than this...

The odd 1"-1.5" extra screen size makes a surprisingly significant difference to viewing comfort and makes surfing much easier. The 8.3" full hd screen hudl2 refurb offer at £99 ticks most of the boxes and is an excellent all round budget tablet If you like tinkering about and problem solving then the nook hd+ with a glorious full hd 9" screen is worth considering. It's ok with the stock software but is much improved with a modded rom. Not that difficult to do as there's loads of advice and tutorials out there. E.g. grade A used from cex £70.50 delivered with 12 months gtee. Currently argos fleabay are selling off the official cases for about a fiver.- they used to be thirty quid. The dual core cpu is beginning to show its age a bit but the nook hd + is a quality act. For absolute video watching pleasure the nook hd+ gets my vote but for longevity and all round capability i'd go for the hudl 2.

I agree, Tesco Hudls are great but beware of its terrible reputation for its charging connection issues (Google "hudl problems" and you'll read some issues). Apart from that, the Hudl has excellent clear graphics and sound quality. Sadly, I had to return mine after four months of use.

I might buy the Gigaset as an interim tablet (_;)

Its not the size (tablet), its how you play with it that counts
