Good price for those but I like the fact that the lightwaverf are controllable via wifi (with router) and you can add more equipment to the setup to suit your needs.

you need an extra box to control via wifi.

there are similar extra boxes available for homeeasy as well

homeeasy has been around longer than lightwaverf and is a much better supported 433mhz protocol.

Made by the same people. LWRF is a much bigger system with fixed wall plates and sockets , relays, dimmers, and new
Heating controls in March.

Thanks for that, there's hardly any stock anywhere though :-/ all branches near me are 'out of stock'. And they don't deliver this item either :-(

debatable. the plates are nice though, as are the dimmable bulbs, but the heating controls have taken an age to come out. plenty of similar german kit already out there, and the lack of a boiler activation make the individual TRVs pretty pointless in terms of zoning.

you say that, but I'm currently sitting in a freezing house due to Tado's service not working. Not happy. They have a boilder control and stats now too...

Yeah I've got a Hive. Doesn't the Tado have a Wall thermostat ?

Yes it does. But the server to switch it on/off seemed to be down. Had to fire it up manually when I got home - kids bedrooms, etc. all freezing as the server does the geolocation stuff and tells it to switch on before I get home normally.

Lightwave planning similar functionality - infra's all there now to do it, just their servers and the apps.

yeah was a bit sceptical about the GPS stuff, but I guess that'll be a one off.

Was going to go the Z-Wave route, with synchronised TRVs but the plumbing (in terms of software configuration) looked like a pain in the buttockz.

I think LightwaveRF from what've seen are just ripping off the german EQ-3 FS20 gear.

No it's all their own design. LWRF uses completely different protocols and it's JSJS's own designs. From what I can tell the rad stats can talk to the boiler controls too.

Looks interesting

I wonder what protocol they've used
