Siemens 100, although an old model, can be got at Plumb Centre for £16! Not bad for a timeswitch and thermostat from a reputable company for 16 quid!

Nice Find

I just have a standard thermostat on the wall with just a dial for my combi boiler. . could I replace it with this. .

£18 Standard delivery if you buy online.

OP you are a star!!!! My old one of 15 years finally packed up last week....was looking to spend over £30....this is the same size and brand as the original so easy fit...2 mis from nearest plumbcentre...perfect.Thanks again

Anyone know if this unit has a good specification?

To my non-trained eye appears to be very basic.

Hot deal, though the one we had lasted a max of 6 months & died!

(hope I was just unlucky)

Guess that was replaced under warranty?

Will this work with an older system (not combi) The blurb just mentions combi and under floor heating. Thanks

I had one many years ago. its fine the screen isnt the most intuitive but bloo display looks funky. it must be uber old stock as it still says landis and gyr on and that moniker was dropped along long time ago!

Actually no, the service dept was hostile to any thought that their unit could go faulty, having been installed by a damn conscientious sparky.

Had a similar thing happen with another siemens product (their kitchen gadget range) ..made me feel like i'd walked into their home with dog muck on my feet.

since then i've not bought anything else oddly enough!

If I were you i would have contacted Siemens directly as they normally take customer satisfaction seriously and wold not have been impressed with the actions of Plumbcentre. If you still have the faulty unit try calling Siemens Customer Services on 08708 508468.

Thanks HotBot, conversely Plumb centre were good to deal with, it was actually Siemens representatives who were acting pretty damn imperiously, it was a case of second chance, never again, i've cursed siemens ever since, (yup, they used to be excellent)

Picked this up today and the box was extremely tatty.

Popped it open and the unit had some dirt on it which is making me think these may be returns or some such.

As long as it works I'm not fussed as the overall condition is fine but I won't be installing this for at least another month.

Anyone else buy this? What was the condition of your box/unit?
