Hot!

Had mine 8 years now. I use it daily. Has never let me down. Heat

I can really recommend Siemens washers. I bought one 9 years ago, it has been used at least 5 times a week every week since then, never caused any bother - until one day end of last year, when the drum stopped turning. Independent washer repair man walked in, knew exactly what was wrong, changed the brushes on the motor at the VAST price of £60, and assured me that my Siemens machine will carry on working for many years to come, it just might need new brushes again in another 8 or 9 years.

When I bought the machine I thought it seemed expensive for a washer (about 320 quid I think, 8 years ago) - but I bought on the advice of a neighbour who told me how good they were. I haven't regretted it.

oh, I bought a Siemens tumble drier at the same time, and that is still going strong too!!

Although for £180 you can buy similar lower brand products that are just as well built and would serve you just as well.

And for that you normally get a new "friend" thrown in, who visits you most weeks of the year and comes round when you call them, though may take them a day or two as they are normally so busy. These don't as they never go wrong so no need for a new friend.

sure.....

We paid £500 for a similar Siemens washing machine 4 years ago which also came with a 5 yr warranty. Voted HOT.

Cold. Small capacity (7kg)

Could you give us example of other washing machine with 5years warranty for this money ?!
I don't think so... but it's so easy just to say cold

4.5kg (as my first ever washing machine was in 1992 or so) is small capacity!

Then you will know of a certain brand that you do get to know the engineer, if not then it's probably because you don't work for that brand who you have to use their engineer. replacing the occasional control panel is nothing to what is replaced in other brands. We had engineers round for a washer every other week and the same manufacturer replace three dishwasher because of faults, so glad when the 5 year warranty was over with the washer, and the third dishwasher well that was binned in the second year couldn't take the kitchen been flooded again.

Would rather pay the extra, myself.

Yes you are right. I worked on the bosch/seimens/neff control panel replacement that was due to the fact they were burning peoples homes down. And you might want to realise there are still over 100,000 appliances still out there ready to burn your house down. NEXT

Hilarious. You can't even spell the brands you claim to work so closely with.

Jog on idiot. http://www.repairaction.co.uk/boschover 100000 not fixed.

see you don't mention the cheap brands that DID burn houses down, don't know what the problem is with saying other brands have issues, is it that you work for one of the cheap brands and just come on to moan. Anyway this is a good deal and that's what the site is about.

I have a Siemens which is around 9 years old, only had a new belt.
My previous Hotpoints lasted barely 1-2 years without needing major repairs. No 5 year warranty either.

not made in Europe btw, hence low price. And front panel looks almost identical to some Logik washing machines, giving me the impression that they are using some 3rd party parts from some generic manufactures.
