This wide angle lens has been as high as £425.00 and as low as £295.00 but currently comes free with a Sigma EF-610 DG ST Electronic Flash worth £90.00 [£170.00 RRP].
Reviews are excellent and having just bought a refurbished D5100 body thanks to this site Santa will be treating me this Christmas.
Alternatives to fit Canon and I suspect others are available.

Merry Christmas all and have a great 2015.

Hi.
How do you find it at 10mm?
I read a review from a professional who prefers it over the closest Nikon alternative and said there was some distortion at the edges but marginal and certainly not to be a concern for the price of the lens.

Oh that is tempting! Thanks OP!

Is it for fx and dx cameras?

Both I believe but only acts as super wide with APS-C [Nikon DX]

So tempting! Same price in Currys/PC World. I wonder if it’s possible to claim the flash when purchased from Curry/PC World.

I believe as long as they are registered as Nikon dealers you would have no problem.

I've just had a look at the Currys website and it has no mention of the flash.
I'd not risk it if there's no mention of it as there should be a voucher in the pack.

I love using it for Panorama shots Rutland Water

It's for DX - on FX it won't cover the full frame (you should be able to use it in DX mode on an FX camera - there's no physical constraint)

It's certainly softer at the edges than the centre (to be expected), and there is some distortion, but not enough to stop me loving it.

This is the first shot I found that I took @ 10mm - not a great shot, but apart from the perspective distortion (which is a function of being so close to the building and looking up - that would happen on *any* 10mm lens) the actual lens distortion is OK to my eyes... flickr.com/pho…54/

That is the best reason I've seen for buying this lens.
Kudos.

Post some pics when you get a chance.

My favourite lens in my 35mm days was a 17mm, this looks prety close - unfortunately I can't manage one of these this month, but I'll keep it in mind!
