Has this got auto focus?

Yes. Just to note this is an APS-C lens rather than full frame... I was looking for lenses for my A7II and stumbled across this. Good for the likes of the A6xxx series.
Loads of other lens bargains to be had with that code,

Sony FE 50mm F1.8 only £127
Sigma 16mm f1.4 DC DN E mount £324.99
Samyang AF 45mm F1.8 FE £279.20
Samyang AF 18mm f2.8 FE £279.20

etc etc

These two get excellent reviews for Sony full frame with this code

Samyang AF 45mm F1.8 FE £279.20
Samyang AF 18mm f2.8 FE £279.20

Are they manual only or autofocus models? I've got the Sony 50mm 1.8 but it is pretty slow to autofocus like the reviews say

Can be used on the FE sonys but your better off getting FE lenses
Anyone used these before? I guess the warranty is fine, it says UK stock and they're based in Wales. Thinking of picking up the 30mm 1.4 for £223.20.
Been eyeing this lens for a while. Thanks, OP

Think it's just a local independent... Usually the best companies to deal with

The 50mm is a little better on the latest firmware 🏻

To be fair, I've only used it indoors so far I presume it's on the latest firmware as it was brand new, but I'll check later on

Yeah I was the same as you but I went on an update run the other day and realised nearly everything I had was out of date I think the stock sits for quite long periods and that’s why we get even new products on old firmware

Lens and camera both already on latest firmware version. I'll take it into work today and have a play in daylight

Always a good reason to have a play!

Only other thing is that dependant on model of body you have there is a ‘pre-af’ feature that can improve the speed.

It works like continuous af in that it will constantly adjust but without you having to hold a button. That way it will have much less travel to complete when you do.

Downside is it does eat up battery and it won’t necessarily be focusing to what you want.

Also using a spot focus can help over grid as it limits the area to a specific point. If you know the framing you want then that can also help a lot.

Either way it isn’t the best at pulling short to far and back unfortunately but the image quality is very good👌🏻

Have fun though!

Yep cheers! I switched off Pre-AF as it was annoying me with the constant noise and I guessed it would take a lot of battery. That sounds like it will have it's uses but not so much in day to day snapping for me.

I prefer spot focusing too, but again, will want to try some running/Cross country photography, see how the camera handles a bit of movement.

Agreed I did the same as you. I have an A7ii and god knows you need to save every bit of battery you can

Which body are you using?

Only other advice I can offer is that the weather sealing on the A series is shocking! I got a minuscule dot of sea water on the body which killed the camera a couple of hours later. Thankfully came back but it damaged the part of the main board that drives the screen 🙈 never had that before in 20 years of dslrs!

Just sayin Watch out for rain and sweat when you’re running

Lens are so expensive, i got a A6000 for £239 from amazon, and the ;lens price scare me.

i have a 16-50 PZ and a 55-200, where would this fit in.

This will be a lens better in low light than the other 2. Superior image quality and increased level of background to foreground separation. Good for portraits, street shooting etc.
Just bought one. 278 plus 10% Quidco.
At that price you can't go wrong.
39319713-aDNVl.jpgGot mine yesterday... A 360 quid lens in a plastic bag and brown tape. Worst packaging ever.

I'd definitely take that up with them. That's horrendous.
