Sigma BC16.12 STS/CAD Wireless Cadence Cycle Computer £32.95 @ Amazon

Free delivery, comes with both speed and cadence sensors which is usually at least £50. Does temperature, trip time and distance, max/average speeds and everything else you would expect. Warehouse clear-out so i'm not sure how long it will last.

And before anyone comments, yes, you can get most of this information from Strava after the ride. But there are a lot of circumstances where it is useful to have it available on the fly, especially with cadence.

That one doesn't come with the cadence sensor, you'd have to buy it separately.

Including cadence sensor? Nice! Have some HOT!

Great deal for a great computer. Let's see if Flubit can get it down below £30.

Including the fact that this is wireless, the one from Halfords is wired.

Heat from me.

Indeed. Or pulling their usual stunt of taking the order and then cancelling because the item has gone out of stock.

Precisely, used to use them, then thought for the sake of a pound or 2 if you really really need and want the item, purchase it through Amazon, this will in turn give you peace of mind should you need to return the item for whatever reason.

Great bike computer except the sensors are bulky and that put me off it. Can't go wrong for the price though

Blimey, for a wireless computer, including cadence, this is super hot. Have some heat - thank you.

Wich one, the Halfords one or the Amazon one?

Sorry, what information does the cadence sensor provide?

How often your pedals turn

Okay thanks.

In the age of syncing and having all your rides mapped online, would an iPhone/Android app with a bike mount not be a far better option?

(Genuine question, trying to weigh up reasons to buy this.)

'Warehouse clearout' or not, I thought this was the normal price? Been this price for months and months, as I've been toying with the idea of buying one for months.

I use Runkeeper on my iphone which sits in my back shirt pocket - had a bike mount fail on my once and its scary watching your £500 phone go hurtling down the road when you brake at the lights !
I also have a cheapo wired speedo (wireless can be prone to interference like telling you you're doing 60mph when a motorbike interferes with it) as its good to see your current speed/time and distance at a glance.

You can look on the cadence mode as being a rev counter. You will have a magnet clipped to your left crank and a sender fixed to the left chainstay. An efficient pedal speed is about 80-90 rpm.

CamelCamelCamel says that you are damn right.

If I'd have known that I'd have bought one months ago.

Doh.

Does this include the sensors? It says they are optional? Also says included in the box is a wireless bike computer, doesn't say anything about the sensors.

Nice find thanks, ordered and heat given

Very valid point, I purchased an iPhone 4s as a backup and for this very reason, now the deciding factor do I purchase this or not.

Read the reviews:

"This is the full package;
includes cadence sensor and is wireless.
I was worried that it was the standard version but it definitely contains the cadence sensor. "

I personally use one of the Lidl wireless computers and an arm band mounted iPhone for long rides on my bike. The iPhone just gives voice directions and records the route. If you want to be able to access more detailed information while cycling, then getting something like the Sigma would be the best option as phones don't last long enough with the screen/gps on to be used as a bike computer.

Just ordered. I was going with the cateye strada cadence but that was wired and this is wireless!!! THANKS

I've found my iphone too big on my mtb. It moves around no matter what mount you use. Also don't really want it exposed. But main reason is battery life, smartphones just don't last long enough and I want my phone battery in case I need a PHONE!
