Please check with your local DL that they are doing this, I have no information of if this is only at my local or a national offer. 12 month membership monthly cost will vary by area, club, onpeak/on peak access etc.

This is very niche, so I expect it to go cold, but a cracking deal if you are thinking of joining David Lloyd on a 12 month membership before the end of November/start of December

If you go online and sign up for their £14 2 week trial, and then go in and immediately sign up for 12 months (without signing in or swiping in on a trial membership card), they will return your £14 trial fee, waive the joining fee (upto £50) and you get to use the rest of November for free, with first direct debit taken to cover December, on 1st December.

This is a great deal for me as I was planning on joining anyway. Effectively I will have saved the £50 joining fee and got November for free.

This is available at my local DL in Sussex - I am not sure if its national, but it's worth enquiring about with your local club if you're thinking of joining for a 12 month membership. If your local is offering this please do let others know in the comments below.

Also they usually do deals/sales on guest passes (usually £25 each) around Black Friday, and if you've joined DL on this offer you'll be eligible to buy some (depending on club but my local often does 3 passes for the price of 1(£25) or 2 for 1 (£25) around black Friday on guest passes)

At £130+ a month, I'm afraid not just yet.

My local is a lot less than this for a 12 month off peak, in fact its half that, at £65!

Are you up north by any chance 👀 I'm SE.

I'm in Sussex, so South! not up north.
The off-peak entry hours suit me very well, but won't suit everyone.

The price varies a lot between clubs. And so does the quality. The staff are great at mine but I think it’s one of the smaller clubs so doesn’t have anywhere near the facilities of some of the others. Great that you can use other clubs too.

I suppose that's true of any chain though, the quality aspect. My local DL is good with welcoming staff and the facilities are much nicer and better than my local leisure centre, and I get to enjoy the huge jacuzzi

Want to join the one in Beckenham. Anyone got any tips to get a cheaper deal? Can’t warrant the £130 pm

Enquire about off peak membership, although that probably won't suit you if you work conventional 9-5 hours. Also you can get it cheaper overall if you and your SO living at the same address both sign up.

Thanks!

Also I saw you're interested in Beckenham, it says on the trial site when you select Beckenham that they will refund you the trial fee if you join up for 12 months, so it might be that you will also get the joining fee waived (in line with the deal at my local/possibly national of getting the fee waived and trial refunded if join by end of November) - worth calling them up and asking - although this is only valid if you join up without using the trial, as detailed in the photo in my post. They may let you in for a free day to test it out before you take up the trial/immediately join, speak to their sales.

Along while back I was a member, went back to sign up, morons never give a straight answer to the costs
Inflated prices.
So happy I have a life membership (since 1994).
I joined on this offer and found out you also get a couple free Personal trainer sessions, I think 3 x half hour, and they'll put you through a system called boditrax which analyses your body stats and they'll help you work out what you should be doing to realise your goal, which for me personally is drastic weight loss.

Lucky you! How'd you get that? If I could be so rude as to ask? Thanks
