A Grand Tour related promo, but no need to watch that if it's not your cup of tea.

Sign up to Amazon Prime for a year for £79 a year or £7.99 a month before the end of 20th September '16 and you'll receive a discount code to use before 31st October '16 to apply to a Fire TV Stick to make it £9.99 (e.g. £25 saving off regular price).

Not a bad deal but the terms and conditions say it isnt valid on the 7.99 monthly membership unfortunately. Might want to change your description. Good price if you want both though on the years sub. Thanks for posting

But it and cancel the prime subscription?

Is there any valid Amazon Prime promo codes?

If you cancel your annual Prime paid membership within the first three months, Amazon reserves the right to charge you (using the payment method you used for the original order and without further notice) for the discount you received as part of this Offer.

Do u need the fire stick to watch the grand tour?

No - but the "official" release is on Amazon Video, which seems to have varying results depending on the platform you watch it on.

I have amazon prime tho, so I should be ok?

So what do all us loyal existing prime customers get then? Sweet FA would be my guess.

Always the fire stick discounted too, what about a good deal on the fire tv box for those of us with 4K sets, guess they have a tonne of the sticks to offload...

Why the bitterness? Welcome to the adult world, things aren't always fair. There's always deals to be had and you surely understand why everything can't be added retrospectively?

Personally when I signed up to Amazon Prime there was an offer on, it was (I think) £59.99 for a year. Additionally, the Amazon Echo which was recently announced which was on offer to Prime members whereby you could save £50.

I'm not bitter personally, I have had some really good offers with Amazon, just don't think it would have been that much more work for them to have put up a similar offer for existing customers too, keep everyone happy...

Okay fair enough, apologies. That was how I read your original post.

As mentioned (by both of us now!) Amazon does offer existing Prime members very good deals.

Does this work if i get Amazon prime with my student account, making prime cheaper aswell?

edit: oh its new prime members only

Which would be very stupid to do anyhow since you paid for a years membership upfront.

I believe Amazon refund you for the remaining period, which is very rare as usually when you commit to yearly it means you're stuck for a year.

ive just found some toys outside work. they are not yours are they?

can you check your pram? I think you might have thrown them out.

are they going to bring it down to £59 again soon?

I'd be happy to pay more if Clarkson wasn't on it.....

Keep paying your TV licence and enjoy Top Gear without Clarkson?

I don't watch top gear full stop, having Clarkson on Amazon will turn as many customers off as they hope he will bring, rewarding his attitudes and behaviour with a bumper contract after being sacked is a joke.

I pay a license fee as I have to, but most of my watching is on SPMC.

applies to students £39 as well

Yes there are new ones coming, but if you are going to do this and many will for Grand Tour a stick for 9.99 is a good deal.

Sweet FA? we've had exclusive access to various deals in Prime day. £55 4K Fire TV, £19.99 fire stick. On initial Fire TV release £39.99 rather than £79.99.
You are so correct if Sweet FA means Sweet Full Access.

If you can afford 4K, you can afford a fire TV.

Lol.
So where else for £80 a year do you legally Streaming music access, TV streaming package, free next day delivery, exclusive discounts on products, 20GB of online storage and I'm sure other benefits?
While none are amazing, the price is more than good enough for what we get.

If you have a 4K TV it probably has Amazon Video and Netflix built-in for 4K anyway so don't need a Fire TV!

So?

My Fire TV stick is pretty snappy in use, voice search works really well and the streamed TV very rarely has issues. Why do I need a faster stick.

The FireTV stick is about 2 years old so probably due a hardware refresh as the components becoming end of line.but they work fine as they are intended, so unless you want to root it and put something else on, or want to play more games on it, being faster or having more memory makes very little difference in the real world.

No one cares what you think or what you watch. This is about a deal. Don't try and use it to mouth off.

I signed up to a £1 course and got a three year nus extra card for £32. I then got six months free prime and half price prime for three years. I joined today and have confirmed that I qualify for the £25 discount

true his contract wasn't renewed he was at the end of the current one anyway so he left.

Yep, you are correct, the BBC let his contract run out rather than sacking him, which is a ridiculous thing to do after what he did, they should be protecting their staff.

Anyways, I only commented on this as this deal is a promo for the new show, if you want amazon prime it's a good deal, shame they are not doing the deal on the Fire TV though, much better piece of kit with 4K.

has anyone cancelled their current prime, got a refund then got this deal ?
