One plug with 2 USB ports

No - I mean that the box says 2.1a.
Is that 2.1a on one port or is it only ever 1a on both - combined?
WOW .. What a BARGAIN.. even better when they have a SALE for £0.99 !!!!
I wouldn't trust it and it almost certainly wouldn't last long. These are manufactured very cheaply so the term quality is unheard of, that's how they can afford to sell them cheaply too. It's simple business

Agree, built to a budget but I bought similar to this and a usb cable for my iPhone from the £1 shop. Just needed a spare for work.
This was about 2 years ago, since then its been plugged in 24/7 for the last 2 years and is still charging fine.
£2 in my local Poundland....

well this is a review and teardown off 2017 charger they had.
Would never buy electronics from Poundland again, bought several iPhone chargers/cables, and other bits and none of them have ever worked or if they have they have only worked for a few days before breaking.

The irony is, we still buy them though ... looool. ;-)
What is your PoundLand Store OP?.

It would help all of us. :-)

Thanx.

Wow! That review didn't go the way I thought it was going to. Thanks for that!

That's very good - but this product could still be dangerous rubbish. Act of faith required!

Why would you leave it plugged in? Using power and significant fire risk.

Well it's not going to be "1A on both - combined" is it? If you mean what I think you mean it'll be 2.1A across the two, or 1A each if using both.

Reminds me of the old saying - "Buy cheap, buy twice".

waking across a road could be dangerous, you could be hit by a car. Act of faith required!

same as saying that. As someone who understands electronics me and that you tuber its very well designed and safe.

chargers bought from eBay Chinese copies etc. act of faith required for them.

At least it was the charger that broke rather than it damaging the iPhone.

Because it’s at work, the plug socket is a bugger to reach, hence it’s plugged in all the time.
Hmmm, "Signalex", Poundland's own electrical brand. Not keen on the thought of this cheaply made item catching fire, & thus burning the whole home down.

Have to ask see if bigclive will do a tear down of this dual USB charger as well . But as wiiue intimates and as bigclive confirms in the tear down video on YouTube of the single port USB charger that was sold in 2017, just because it is £1 charger it doesn't always equate to being a crap charger or anymore of a fire hazard than a £20 USB charger can be. Clive has completed tear downs of £20 ones, and even more expensive branded chargers and found them to be very poorly designed and with very little separation between the AC and DC and inappropriately spaced components = potential for shock / fire hazard. So low cost doesn't always equate to a bad product .
My local poundland doesn't even have the old 1 port chargers any more

Where did you come from - 8 days late! It is sorted!
Bigclive has completed the tear down, and full testing and this Poundland charger is very well built, speced and has his seal of approval, which is more than good enough for me.

These are £2 in my local poundland, I bought one and use it to charge my OnePlus3T and it charges it quick enough
