I've a double bed & I use this king size blanket. it covers my double bed edge to edge & up to the pillow line. I saw a review on Amazon recommending the king size for a double bed & it exactly fits up to pillows. You don't want your pillows to be hot anyway

Thank you!

thanks op ordered.

No problem

Ordered. Thank you.

Just order one. Thx. Heat added.

thanks, bought as an exact replacement, it is indeed a small fit, im replacing as the "ties" had worn threadbare trying to stretch it to a king, i still recommend it but have to argue over the warm pillow issue, i wish it was full length, i want my arms warm, when i tuck them under my pillow to sleep.

Do people still live without central heating? Why is your bed cold?

Because we don't have radiators in our beds. And yes, some of us do manage without central heating (I have it but don't need to use it). Personally I use a woodburner for heating and a lot of cooking.

HTH.

Seen instore also at an extra store

Shame not dual temperature control

good find op, heat added

The Slumberdown equivalent can be found in store for £7.50.
I spotted a few on the upstairs clearance shelf of the Aycliffe store.

A cool room is strongly regarded to be better for a good nights sleep. Getting into a cool bed however, when you've been cosy warm elsewhere, is a little shock to the system.
These are also perfect for the elderly who feel the cold more than you or I might do. It allows a concentrated heat source, rather than unnecessarily heating the entire room.

A must for cold winters. Good price and ordered. Thanks ops.

Ordered for next winter. Thanks

thanks, heat added and bought.

Are these under blanket?

Expensive for a pack of johnnys

Silentnight = Garbage (allong with a Morphy Richards one ive just binned)
I must be really unlucky with them (or move around a lot in my sleep...!) as they break after about 6 months of use.
The best brand ive found is Dreamland. Used to have one when i lived at my parents and it still works perfectly. Bought 2 others and they are both working fine too.

I've had two Silentnight ones break after a short space of time.. but my Morphy Richards one is still going strong. (Touch wood)

we got a double just over a year ago which went faulty, the manufacturer refunded no problem as they come with a 3 year warranty. £15 is a good price as the customer service if they go faulty was fine

How much effect on the energy bill do they have?

90W - that's typically when they're first turned on for the quick heat function. After they're at temp, they drop down to what ever level you've got it set at. Depending on how the control is setup, you're probably looking at around 60W for highest, 30W and 15W for lowest setting.

It's usually going to be cheaper to use an electric blanket than to boil a kettle for a hot water bottle.

Yeah. Spare bit would be great if you own a dog or a cat

worth checking in store as I got one for £7.50 on the "clearance" shelf but they were still in the bedding aisle also for £30

Great price, but I had 2 of these stop working in the space of my year guarantee... Maybe I was just unlucky, but my lloytron one has lasted longer so far.
