i guess these are sold out in scotland

I want one now!

Rupz

Nope ASDA Hamilton still has loads on a side stack.

the best part about these is that they are completely washable and can be tumble dried, much thinner wires also.......nothing like the pink horrors that were about when I was child.....anyone old enough to remember???

I recommend you do what i did, get a king size for a double bed then you dont get the lumpy and cold border round the edge, as they never go right to the edge!

Hot.

let's hope you dont wet yourself at night (_;)

Wait is this an overblanket or an underblanket? I'm going to guess underblanket at this price.

yes under

Tesco Direct are doing the newer version of this which is slightly larger for £2.50 more if that helps anyone.

They had single, double and king sized in store at bolton burnden park store this afternoon if it helps anyone.

Just orderedthe Tesco newer one 50% off £17.50 collecting from local store! Job done thanks!!

I bought the slightly larger one of these from argos for around £20 - best thing ive bought in ages! - works brilliantly only problem is getting out of it in the morning!!

Hot!

power consumption?

90 watts for the slightly bigger one but im guessing thats only if you keep it on the highest heat level

Remember? We still use one
Best thing since sliced bread.

Price is good for an electric blanket, but 15-30 minutes to heat up??? That's a long time to wait to get warm. The one I use which I think is a 'Dreamland' is warm within a few minutes.

Heat times will be dependent on the wattage of each blanket Manufacturer.

I'm going for the Tesco option as it's a newer model and only a few pounds dearer than the Asda version.

Ordereed the king size at tesco...gonna roll myself up as a sausage!!

Can you fit a single on a king size bed? I don't need a king size one.

i am lying on mine now, got this a year ago and it cost alot more....so worth it!

Just switch it on when you make your hot chocolate/bedtime tea or whatever. I got bought one as a present and i LOVE it. I will never be without one (and this is from a seasoned camper who has camped out in frost) - when you're at home in your own bed you wanna be toasty!

Ordered the Tesco option thank you

Still using my pink horrible thing. It is well over 30 years old now. The Fire Brigade would have nightmares !

Get a timer plug and set it to come on 20 minutes before you regular bed time.

Not anything like the nightmare you could have, though. http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz200/pepper2010_bucket/fireman1.gif

This only has a single control. Unless you only want to use it to heat up the bed before you get into it, that's not really a good idea.

How do you mean? It says it has 3 heat settings and 1 night setting suitable for all night use?

Also, I noticed for this asda one that the size information conflicts. The description tab says it is Size W122, L152cm but the specification tab says it is 120 x 135.

It does, but because it only has a single control, you cannot control the temperature of the two sides of the bed independently.

Sounds a bit uncomfortable to me, having to lie on top of it. Would prefer one that goes on top of the duvet, but I guess they are more expensive?

I have an underblanket on all year round and don't notice it - the wires are thin. I wouldn't worry about it. Much more convenient than an overblanket because the cables are better tucked away.
