Just replaced a Miracoil mattress after 3 years. It was long overdue too. It was ok for about a year before it developed lumps & sags

Do yourself a favour a spend a bit more money on a pocket sprung mattress.

Also I love this 'Easy Care' description i.e. to keep manufacturing costs down we only finished one side but, hey, let's market that as a 'feature'. (_;)

i ordered this at checkout took off the matress dispite saying you couldn't order separately a week later my divan turned up and i ordered a nice memory foam matress from tesco for £200.
The divan with 2 draws was £100. A great deal

What mattress did you get? I've been looking at a few memory foam ones lately around that price.

its the silent night 7 zone memory foam matress. price goes up and down a lot on amazon. it was 249 on tesco but had offer on off spend 250 and get £50 off so brought a 1.25 bucket and got it for £200. nice matress even if for about 2 weeks it smelt like i was harvesting canabis.

200 on costco. 5% on top if you are not a member.

This was posted a while back. I decided not to order as people mentioned in the post they were returning them due too noisey springs.

Is that just a hunch or an informed position? Mattress industry recommend reviewing your mattress every five to seven years. There's no reason why a decent quality double sided pocket sprung mattress shouldn't last 10 years.

You should certainly be able to do better than the 18 months of decent kip I got from a 'Miracoil' from the Silentnight brand,

If your looking for a comfortable mattress then i'd say go out and try them in a local shop. Don't take a chance as whats comfortable for one person wont for the next.
My mum always used to say you should spend money on comfortable shoes and a bed because "if your not in one your in the other".

Pocket sprung all the way from my experience

Just beware, we are waiting for Argos to collect a memory foam top pocket sprung matress, didn't realise memory foam can make you sweat, even went the doctors to check I wasn't ill! Very comfortable but just couldn't get used to the heat, just glad we didn't throw the old one away.

I can recommend Ergoflex if you're after a good quality version of a Tempur without the second mortgage.

Good price I got a bargain on this argos.co.uk/sta…htm a few months back £700! Soooo comfy don't want to get out in the morning

Can it be rearranged/re-packed during house move?

Looks like a steal! Where did you get that from for £700? We're in the market for a superking at the moment.

Got this 6 months ago for a similar price - superb value and just as comfy as my old £1000 bed that was getting on a bit.

Was unsure about the foam topper thing but it's very comfy.

As above not sure how they can justify it at over £3k now for the 2 drawer version i bought!

I bought one of these a while ago using code HIPPO for 10% off (no idea if this still works). It's an alright bed but the mattress is firm, not medium to firm, I mean firm. Good product for the price.

There are such things?? I find them utterly horrendous inventions. Try and shift position in the night - you can't. Blisteringly hot, even in winter. I would never buy one again!

Ordered this when it was last posted. It was very firm. Unfortunately the springs made weird popping noises all night (I'm only 9 stone before the pie jokes commence!) and it had a very hollow and echo-y feel to it. Maybe I just got unlucky. Returned it and got a pocket sprung one instead. Silent Night customer service was fantastic.

Not just us then, I only googled the heat thing once we had it delivered, lots of reviews saying the same thing, had to put a summer duvet on, managed to get Argos to take it back.

We only had ours a couple of weeks then I phoned them to raise the issue and they arranged collection for a week later. They were so helpful and I got a full refund. I then bought my pocket sprung one from them because I was so impressed with them as a company. Might be worth a phone call.

thanks will do. And in how much u get pocket sprung one?

Between my family and best mate we have 4 Silentnight mattresses from right across the range, Miracoil 3 to Miracoil 7 to ones with Pillowtops and I can categorically tell you that they are ALL rock hard regardless of their softness rating. We keep falling for the trap of their decent ish prices but truth be told they are all horrible.

I currently have TWO mattress toppers AND a king size duvet to soften the firm mattress but it still doesn't help. I struggle to get comfortable and always have backaches.

Pocket sprung one was under £500. Cant remember exactly how much but I managed to use the hippo code and traded in an old mattress to get another £100 off (don't think that deal's still on though.)

I call them. They said can exchange or upgrade( need to pay difference). But if want refund then £50 will apply for collection.

What did you decide to do in the end? Personally I'm so glad I got rid of this bed!!
