It was the opposite for me. Fantastic mattress, although mine is a king.

nah these are ****, wasted money imo.

i have one, they're the best to sleep on, its like a cloud. amazing price aswell, had mine over a year now and still amazing to sleep on

Bought mine last time it was this price very comfy
but they don't half pong my advice would be leave for a week to air before using if you can
then air regularly
They are also very warm great this time of year
but it may be best to leave purchasing until the summer

do not want to sleep on a camel though

Bought one and I'm not happy with it.

It lingers of weed and this smell still hasn't gone away 3 months later. It didn't fully air out to it's full size. It leaves indentations and it lost it's full strength really quickly. Also you will get really hot sleeping on this. Sometimes I wake up in hot sweats and the mattress is damp.

Anybody see a possible connection?

Though memory foam mattresses are regarded as good... they just don't suit everyone

mine really really really smelt of weed lol. it was like i was dealing out of my place. lol

We have a king size one. I find it quite firm but my husband loves it. Ours didn't smell for long. I preferred my sprung mattress with our deep memory foam topper. The layer of memory foam on this is really thin. Heat for the price though. Some will love it some will hate it. That's the trouble with not being able to test it in a shop before you buy.

Better with a normal mattress and a memory topper of 2" - comfort and support

Had mine for 2 years so far and is very comfortable. Starts off soft then goes firm after a month.

Not a bad price, I'm a big fan of memory foam mattresses, make sure you have min 2in of memory foam on top and total depth of 20cm is ideal. Great thing about them is you literally do not notice when your other half gets in or out so don't get disturbed at all! Certainly cannot see the point in paying for an expensive pocket sprung mattress, and cheaper cage spring ones are just terrible. A memory foam topper on a cheap cage sprung mattress is just not the same.

I have the 5-zone one, and although ok for a while, now it is pants. I bought it when I moved into the house last July, and I can actually feel the frame through it now.

Got my king sized one on 29/12/14 for £155 so it has been cheaper...

Great buy though! Absolutely love it.

Ours has lasted almost two years and we're ready to replace it with a sprung mattress again.
It was fine for the first few months but by the 1 year mark it's much less comfortable, giving noticeably less support and sinking into it makes it difficult if you like to turn or move in the night.

We have the king, can't fault it

Need a new mattress. Don't mind spending up to say £700-£800 because of back problems. What's the best brand or mattress types I should be looking at?

Someone adviced that I should try the john lewis own label made by Harrison spinks. Are Harrison products any good?

Thanks for your help

I bought this one which was best money I spent.

It hasn't lost its shape and quality is brilliant.
Buying mattress on-line without trying it is always a gamble. You must try it for atleast one week to realise the quality of it.

I have one (John Lewis by HS) and confirm it's a good mattress, traditional construction, pocket springs. I've tried about 3 types of memory foam (including Tempur) and find them far too hot, although it's possible to get Coolmax covers or similar which may alleviate that problem. It's such a personal thing, and many of the cheaper beds are designed to appeal to you in the shop, when you might lie there for 5 or 10 mins at most.
Try looking on the BackInAction website they have a scheme whereby they will exchange the mattress if you don't get on with it.

I've been watching the prices on the 3 zone for ages. I've read that it is better, even though I originally figured the 7 zone is the next one up… anybody got any experience?

Unfortunately the 3 zone is still 165 and the 7, about 185

I have the 7 zone mattress and it has been great for me.

I bought it in December 2012 and it has maintained its shape pretty well.

I have a mattress protector underneath, which the manufacturer recommends using too. So I haven't had any problems with dampness or bad smells.

I don't recommend the spring mattresses by Silentnight however. I had one of those and it didn't last very long.

I've got this in a single and love it. My back feels so good after sleeping on this. I am upgrading to a double so this couldn't have been better timing. HEAT! X)
