Excellent mattress with a good combination of springs, memory foam and a cushion top.

Rated as a medium to firm mattress with a 5 year guarantee.

Other sizes available, was approx £30 cheaper than I could find elsewhere.

Great Deal
I would not advise a sprung bed unless its pocket sprung. It won't be so bad if you sleep alone, but if there are 2 (or more) in the bed you will wake each other. I also advise people not to skimp on a mattress. You use it for several hours every day for 5 or 6 years, so for the sake of a few hundred quid, buy the best you can afford, which should be the most comfortable you can afford.

I think "Miracoil" is silentnight's system for no roll together and this one has "7 zones"

I always pay as much as I can on anything that I spend a lot of time 'on' ...shoes, mattress, car tyres and the wife.

Amazon is free delivery and that one isn't in stock at mattressman but they must have dropped price recently. Which mattress is better out of interest?
Miracoil is marketing speak for open sprung. Mirapocket is the one you want.
memory form overheat so watch out what you buying , ikea mattresses is nightmare too !
Was looking for a 2000 pocket sprung mattress, I was advised this was the maximum amount of "pocket springs" you could get, but then find 3k, 5k.... 8k etc.... Also, the prices are around £200-£300 (fleabay)... This whole mattress thing is worse than buying a second had car lol, if the bed is no good you have to pay to send it back (not cheap) - the guarantee is worthless, there's only the likes of Amazon that I would buy from just for the protection but the choice is limited and the prices are silly.... Did check out the mattressman site - again, prices are just nuts, so makes you wonder about these brilliant beds on ebay they have luxury linings and thousands of these air springs.... Meh...
Seems pretty expensive they do cheaper ones at makro

spending a lot of time 'on' your wife, you must be a really happy man :P
Anyone know where you can get a good quality pocket sprung mattress at a reasonable price?

The reason why you were told that 2000 springs is the most is because it … The reason why you were told that 2000 springs is the most is because it is the most in a single stack of pocket springs and without including ridiculous things such as mini or micro pocket springs. Anything more than that will be double layered which reduces their benefit or should be scrutinised.Make sure its a guarantee and not a warranty when you buy a mattress as this will make a huge difference to what is covered. With mattresses especially the more you pay the more you get; if you're over the age of 18 and of normal weight or above, £2-300 is the least you should be paying BTW airspring is the absoloute worst thing you can buy they're not even a proper spring...

No idea what airspring is - do not confuse me! lol, been looking for a bed for months now and it's fried my brain!
Ok, this is the best I can find for under £500 (or is it?) - landofbeds.co.uk/rel…ble

Please provide examples of better mattresses at same price or lower! Don't just say "anything that's pocket sprung"

Not the best and the price is only for the mattress, hope you know that … Not the best and the price is only for the mattress, hope you know that ... Relyon is a good brand however with 5 year guarantee but its man made fillings and for £499 you have plenty of options if you want a firm pocket sprung. Here's two on Mattressman that I found quick:https://www.mattressman.co.uk/mattresses/british-bed-company/72787-201012/hotel-rest-deluxe-double-mattress.aspx Has roughly the same pocket spring count and is only an 8 day wait time compared to 21-28 in the one you posted. £329 for the double but has a 5yr warranty not guarantee. https://www.mattressman.co.uk/mattresses/sleepeezee/95847-251975/backcare-supreme-2000-double-mattress-only-mattress.aspx Has double (2000!) the pocket springs, 5 yr guarantee, Sleepezee is a better brand than Relyon as they are Royal Chartered so you know there is quality there and is in stock so available from mid next week nationwide.£469 currently Both of these mattresses are all natural fillings as well, the benefits of this are much cooler than man made fibres and better for allergies.

Brilliant - thanks, yes, only after the mattress, will have a look at your options now - thanks again!

IMO the £469 seems to be a great investment For 5 years of good sleep, 26.5p a night.

Should last you longer than that as well if you look after it

So the second one is the better option? I was going to get the 1st option that had all the glowing reviews lol (plus a hundred quid cheaper) Hope it lasts a lot longer than 5 years as i don't want all this hassle again! lol
Seriously do not buy one of these, Miracoil is just pure marketing speak for "cheap cage sprung mattress". The memory foam on the top will be completely irrelevant once this mattress has slumped and started creaking within a year or so.
Just spend the money on a decent memory foam mattress in the first place.
The main benefits of memory foam mattresses are zero roll together anyway, they are completely silent (unlike cage sprung), so if your partner gets up in the night you probably won't notice at all. As well as more comfortable generally.
