Looks like graphic card
Almost 15 quid for a compass seems well expensive to me..... I picked up one similar to this at a poundshop.
Or you could just look at the sun!
Oh Why do people bother!!
The Silva type 4 is a proper compass that actually works. We have 50 of these in school and a selection of cheap ones. The cheap ones arent very accurate and break very very quickly.

£15 is a good price. normally £20
Wont these be redundant come late December?

Or could you just scribble N over S, and vice versa?

The one i got from the poundshop points north all the time....... what does this do that makes it worth 15 times the price ?
Great price just at a time when we needed to order some . Thanks
good price

check out the Suunto range too , that's what geologist daughter prefers.
Are these in degrees or mils ?

If you clearly know nothing about a product then why stick your oar in. You cannot use a crud compass for orienteering or for grid to mag conversions. If you are likely to need to do either of these then you know why you need a good compass.

@ Buckiebull silvas are all in mils. If you want degrees then a sunto (cant remember spelling) is going to be your best bet :-)
