absolutely terrible. had for my first child and got rid. too heavy. carrycot outgrown within weeks. too heavy and bulky with car seat attached. folds badly and terrible reviews all round.
Have to agree. Had for my eldest. I loved the look but wasn't practical. Very heavy and the travel system is bulky. Planned to sell and get something better for second child but the spring broke in the folding mechanism so had to throw it out. Wouldn't recommend x
I bought this from mothercare for £350 reduced from £500 2 years ago, my daughter is small and I used the carycot until she was 9 months, she has only just grew out of the car seat at 14 months. And I still use the pram all the time. I really like it, although it is very difficult to fold up, you need someone to hold baby while you do it. Other than that I was very happy with this system.
also resale value terrible as nobody wants them. bought mine for 300 sold after a few weeks in as new condition for 50. The car seat is good although very heavy compared to a maxi cosy so bad for your back

I want to echo the 'heavy' comments. Just using it as a pushchair (without the car seat) it weighs in at over 12 kg. Getting it in and out of the car is really awkward and I have twinged my back a few times.

We ordered a new stroller from Mothercare today that is less than half the weight. When it comes, this thing we call 'optimus pram' (because it transforms) will go on free cycle
The mamas and papa's sola2 pram listed yesterday is a much better pram - and deal. I've had them both!
BabiesRUs are doing the same price as well, had a look at my local store this Saturday and didn't like it that much - even though its SilverCross it felt quite flimsy to me.
I have this. Only put up with it because it was a gift! It is heavy, I don't mind heavy but the wife finds it a struggle. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
The silvercross baby car seat is VERY heavy and you cant elegantly hold it on your forearm like they do with the maxi cosis..i have the surf 2.its ok as a travel system.wouldn't recommend buying the cot as rarely used
Have this pram bought for £250 last jan @mothercare yes carrycot n car seat outgrown quick but love n think it's a great all round pram
Tbh it does look cheap and feel it to but I can't find another pram with ergonomic handles as a silver cross, any advice?

Just did that with ours as well....used to have jump on it to fold it!
Suited my first son to a tee. Kept for 2nd and coz he's a lot smaller height and weight wise (17 months and still in 6-9 clothes) it was awful (in stroller mode). The straps wouldn't go small enough to strap him in tight so he kept slouching and by time we got rid last month (folding mechanism broke) he had started to scream when I tried to put him in it coz he was so Uncomfy. It was also impossible to push one handed which was a pain in the **** with a 3 (almost 4) year old who wanted to hold hands instead of using a little life bag with strap all the time
moral of the story is...more bad reviews than good. buy at your own risk?
Well we're on second time use of this pram. Used it with our first 3 years ago and using it again. I like it. The heaviness is an arm workout I don't mind at all. Used it till he was nearly 2 and using it again with our 3 week old. Not bothered about resale price.
We bought this with our first child and I didn't mind it but GF hated it and ended up getting rid. Like someone else said, there's no resale value because there's never a shortage of people trying to get rid, and the RRP is just an imaginary price cos this seems to be on offer more often than not. The car seat seems like it's been updated though, as I was looking at this last week and it doesn't seem as big as when we bought it the first time (4 years ago... 350 reduced from 500 lol). We've ended up spending a bit more and getting a moodd with pebble 2 for 465 from mothercare in the sale, but I think the silver cross wayfarer is about the same price from toys r us online (if that's any better ).

Make sure you have a good play with this and a few other prams before you buy it, but tbh it's not dreadful for the price - I just don't think it's much of a deal because both me and silver cross know it's not worth 500.
