My Daewoo American freezer still works well, but the interior is cheap. All the glass shelving rims are broken and I have them held together with a strong tape and all the pull out drawers are cracked. Needless to say the guarantee had just run out when all this started, but Daewoo didn't want to know.

so if you wanna spend 500 quid on a daewoo to keep your food cool buy a matiz as it works better ?

I am waiting for the no-so-limited-edition-limited-edition Vauxhall fridge freezer.

We've had this fridge for about 4 years now and I can't say anything is damaged or defective with it.

It's the same price as it was back then too, so this is even cheaper in real terms

bought one of these last week, a good unit

would love an american style aka decent size fridge freezer but would demand one with an ice dispenser on front.

I have had this fridge for 6 years. Still going strong. Nothing cracked or anything. Bought from currys. I paid £50 more. Have heat!

I've had mine 2 yrs and it's incredibly cheap to run, looks as good as new and also seems to keep things cooler than any other fridge freezer I've owned.
Would deffo recommend.

I had one of these and it broke after 3 years, got a partial refund but took some arguing...overall a good fridge but like has been said the interior was cheap.

Bought this for £499 in 2009. Superb value.

Yes, the entire technology behind it must be super cheap since it's 4 years old.

And when it finally kicks the bucket you can use it as a safe room. Just look at the width of the freezer walls.

Which says this is superb value for money, but the chilling power is dismal, scoring 66% in total.

In winter I have it on the lowest setting possible (1) & and chills & freezes absolutely fine.

When its hot (about 25 deg+) I put it on setting (2) - out of 5 and thats more than enough.

Never had any issues with the frost-free element either.

My previous Candy lasted 10 years & I was happy with that, this has lasted 5 years so far & I cant fault it

That was a consideration for us as well but then a water supply would need to be installed and the ice maker is just something else to go wrong/jam up every so often - well that was the logic on going for this version.

The tap water is pretty much cold in Scotland, all year round and there are built in ice making trays in the freezer compartment.

This fridge replaced a General Electric that my mother had since the 1960's!

It was still working fine!!!!

My father won in at a work raffle too!

This deal not valid as price is now back to £699
