Hi,
Does this come with a plug for a fixed mains socket? or need to be hard wired?

I don't think the output is 230 watts, probably a mistake made by argos, voltage will be 230 volts.

Bulbs required 1 x 50W GU10 halogen (included).

Can anyone answer the first question above?

Is there a plug for a fixed mains socket?

This will be intended to be 'hard wired' however there's probably nothing to stop you wiring it to a three pin plug.

Very unlikely. It looks like it's meant to be permanently fixed to a wall or ceiling and hard wired through the base. Wiring it otherwise could be hazardous too.

BTW - Just look at the picture and learn a bit of patience too. If you can't determine the design from the picture you probably shouldn't be messing with it anyway.

Lights like these eat bulbs.

Good price though for what it is.

I'm looking fir a light for above my dartboard, anyone know if this would do ???

Cheers

Probably but there's no shade to stop you hitting the bulb with the darts! Most GU10 bulbs give a fairly narrow beam so it would need to be fixed well back from the dartboard,

Focus do a decent range of cheap spots - 2 or 3 quid for a single. They do double and triple bar fittings as well.

Cheap, cheerful and easy to fit.
