Could you suggest an alternative product or products please?

10watts is a good output. .. just depends on how long the unit lasts, the last few electronics I've had from lidl broke pretty quickly .. keep the receipt
not voted either way op

Hi, it's always good to have the input from people who know about these things. So appreciate the warning and heads up.

What would be your opinion of a more sensible choice that I could look into?

Apologies, above link removed... that particular merchant is currently suspended fron HUKD.

It would be an interesting comparison 1 single driver 4W speaker vs a dual driver setup rated at 10W per speaker, given the price I would still be tempted by the lidl unit. I think this is good for £40 amazon.co.uk/Wir…V0M no Bose unit but ~£100 less and no so over exaggerated bass.

Does anyone have any experience of these speakers?...Some insight would be helpful : )

I am sure that Anker one is good, but is a huge difference between 4W plastic box and a 20W wooden one.
On the other hand, I am not sure that the Lidl one is portable, actually I am pretty sure is not.

Good call, that explains the spec for the price, batteries not included

i assume this is the closest review/feedback from customers who bought something similar in Feb. hope this helps somebody.

I'm not sure I would go with this. power is one thing, speaker quality is another. got a blufiniti earlier today for £40 - cheapest price in the uk at my local store. beautiful shape and sound.

This is the better option imo - amazon.co.uk/Wir…lse. Not voting either way though as I haven't heard the Lidl speaker but I can definitely vouch for the Bolse one, plus their customer support is outstanding!

Ah, hadn't realised the size and power (and non portability) of the Lidl one. It may be ok for £30, if not, take it back.

i have 4 types of different portable bluetooth speakers and none of them even come close in sound quality comparing to thisharman kardon
cheaper on ebay 85pounds
i know its not same price..but instead of spending money on 4 cheap ones ill prefer 1 karman hardon
uncomparable sound for the price
60W btw

Great find, many thanks OP

Going by those people's experience, I am avoiding this.

well, I bought the LIDL speaker (listening through it as I type).

What can I say......it's fantastic, rich and deep sound, room filling.

The speaker copes well at full volume.

For the money this is far better than I expected. Sure portable would be great, but for that you may lose the power, bass.

Highly recommended!

Anymore reviews from people that have brought one today?

Hi, I bought one yesterday, so far really impressed with the sound quality. Has a nice warm bass and good treble. The stereo separation is really impressive, considering how close together the speakers are. It connected easily to my nokia phone. At this price, I think it will exceed most peoples expectations. Paul.

Purchased the lidls 2x10w speaker yesterday, had it blasting on full volume from tunein radio app samsung note 2, performs well, full sound, crisp and deep at lower volumes. Using poweramp app android for my own tunes, lots of reggae, baroque classical, podcasts, speaker is well worth the £30 with lidls instore leaflet with a £5 off any purchase over £25 so was £25. No portability can be a pain but for that price and wood casing im not complaining. 10/10 so far so good, and the minimal look sits fine anywhere in the home.

Is this battery powered or 230v AC?
