Hard to judge if this is good or bad, is the 10w rms or total? The 2 powerful li-ion batteries are cheaper then 1 big one but no mention of how big they are.
£50? Doesn't sound great even if hi fi
Get one of these:

Anker Soundcore

Half the price and probably twice the quality.

The Lidl box is way bigger so will have way bigger drivers, there's no substitute for larger speakers. Don't knock the Lidl one until someone has heard it.
voted hot. quality of products from lidl, and aldi for that matter, have always been really good. and you can always buy it to try it given their generous returns policy.

better ones out on Amazon
cue the lidl snobs......
20w in a portable speaker is very good and I would expect it to sound excellent.

for the idiots making factual comments based on nothing, buy one then **** it off.........

half the price, less than half the power......

unless you buy both to compare I would expect the lidl to easily outperform the anker.
Well just compare the battery life:

Silvercrest: 4 hours.
Anker Soundcore: 24 hours.

But hey, the Lidl one is bigger and more expensive so it must be better, right?
Very tempted with one of these, they had a load in store today, and they look and feel very chunky. I bought a couple of the small "pod" bluetooth speakers from Lidl ( about the size of a small tin beans) and they sound really amazing for the size ( and price £10) so would hope one of these would be OK, after paying £200 on a Roberts Blutune which sounds rubbish! so you don't always get a better sound for more money.Probably wait for a report from someone who's bought one, and hope they're still in stock!
Bought on Thursday. Really pleased with it. Going to use for a party in the garden. I'm not the best with tech stuff and sometimes have to use the teen brains of the family but not this time. The instructions said it would take 6 hours to charge but only took 2. Bluetooth link was easy. Checked the range from my Hudl to the speaker in the garden and it was fine. Guess it was about 10 metres. Haven't checked the max range yet but obviously this depends how good your wi-fi is.
As for the sound ( the important bit! ) For the money I think it's great. Decent bass and treble. Best £49.99 I've spent in a long while. With a 3 year guarantee I think it' a bargain.
Just bought this and cannot get it to connect to Sandstrom Hifi. It's picked up my iPhone fine but will not pair with the music system. Am I doing something wrong? It's going back tomorrow if I can't get it working.
Just bought this. It's perfect for the front room. Old tablet playing spotify.
For those about to rock, they have AC/DC t shirts for £3.99 as well.
Suzieoc, why do you want to connect it to the hifi system? if it has a bluetooth connectivity, I would imagine that it's to input a signal in a similar way to the Lidl unit. If it connects with your iPhone, sounds like it's working ok, accepting a signal rather than providing one. Similarly, I have a Roberts Blutune radio with bluetooth, it connects and plays from my iPhone, but certainly won't connect to a small bluetooth speaker that I have. Hope that may be of help....cheers

Went back to Lidl today, still plenty of speakers in stock, there was one box that was open, so I connected my phone to it and literally filled the store with sound. Very impressive, even with it still in the box! The security guard wasn't that impressed, and came running over. Bought one on the strength of the test, and was equally impressed with it when I got home, Comparing it with my Roberts Blutune ( there most expensive in their range ) the sound from the Lidl unit is way way better, a lot louder, and much better bass. for £50, it's a real bargain!
Got one today, it's very good for the price.
Bought one this morning on my way to work. Looking forward to trying it when I get home later.
just bought from Lihl's in Lewisham running tests lnow istening to the Doors,Queen and Carbon Based Lifeforms - has a good warm sound, enough volume and a good bargain at under £50 - would recommend
Just purchased one to test it and I'm going to keep it. I can't help myself when it comes to portable speaker I have a range from £10-180 this is by far the best for volum and bass & tremble control. The sound doesn't distort at full volume either. Good looking speaker. All round good purchase.
These are now £35 and a deal was posted by someone 2 weeks ago....
(here is my post on that thread)....
I actually tried it out in store, one of the boxes was open and they have a little charge in the batteries......well, well, well.... how surprised was I (and the rest of the shoppers as I turned the volume to max for a few seconds). Loud, clear and bassy and as good in my opinion as what I heard from a friends £300 Bower and Wilkins BT speaker. Yes this speaker isn't very small but it looks kinda cool and for the money is great value. I bought two for my teenage kids who upto now have had small Azatom (loud but no bass) BT speakers.
I bought one of these last week and I am more than pleased with the sound quality, control and volume. I actually got it to use in the garage and it is almost too good to use in there really but will be glad to have good sound and music while tinkering in there

Only weird thing I have found is that when playing an album from my phone to it, when it starts a new song it sort of fades in at the start. This is a bit of a pain on songs with singing right at the start as it cuts off the first part(s) of the first word! Even more weird is that is you skip to the same song, it doesn't fade in and plays normally! Also if I connect my phone to other bluetooth speakers or bluetooth in my car for playback, it doesn't have this issue so not sure why it does this or if there is a fault? Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any way to change or stop it happening?

What phone are you using.... to me it sounds more phone/app related than the speaker
I can confirm I get the same issue with this speaker - Bluetooth connection almost crossfades the music regardless of which phone I play from (S7, Hudl1, Sony Xperia) It's fine with the aux in connection though. If anyone knows how to turn the crossfade off on the bluetooth module of the speaker? Other than that it's a belting speaker - I have an Anker A3143 that's much smaller and also 2x10w - that doesn't fade the music and is a great sound but is definitely not as loud as the 2x10w Lidl one. All that said Bluetooth compresses the stream and the source (for me anyway) is lossy mp3 so I'll never get perfect sound, but both are very good.

No problems whatsoever with any crossfade on mine, using an iPhone 5 or 6 !
I have two colleagues at work who bring them into the warehouse. They are fantastic, great sound with no distortion however loud! I'm buying one asap...
