I'll come back after a dozen mostly sexist remarks have been posted...

Personally although this is cheap I wouldn't buy this. Irons last a long time and I would by the best you can afford because you are going to be using it for a long while. I highly recommend Tefal irons had mine for well over 10 years now and still like new, used every day

Title states silvercrest

3 year warranty. £5/year even if only lasts that long so gotta be a good deal. I don't find irons last very long in my house so this will be ideal!

I've owned this silver rest iron for 2 years now. Bought it because I prefer cordless. Never had any trouble with it at all, was certainly worth the price I paid.

The image is of a tefal iron?

Wife sorted............ Sexist..

I wonder how long it irons effectively once cordless and presumably cooling down ? Our current iron has been recalled and got a full refund for what I paid about 5 years ago - so on the lookout for a new one. I would generally go with the sentiment above - same as DIY stuff get the best you can as in general they last longer - even better if they get recalled so you can get a new one ! So wondering if this will be any good ?

Any Reviews? Is this iron actually any good?

personally I think Lidl warranties aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Right pain in the **** to sort out when those things go.

I've had a cordless iron in the past and wouldn't recommend them. They cool really quickly,so for cottons they don't stay hot enough. You have to constantly keep putting the iron back in the cradle. This however has the option of being corded too so maybe worth a bash for the price?

I'm always very skeptical about buying these powerful electrical goods that are made in China. I personally worry about the shoddy craftsmanship and the risk of fires. Maybe I am too careful but I'd rather be safe than sorry..

I would buy this but I don't have a woman to operate it

I had this iron a couple of years ago not good, it cools down quick so you have to iron quick, then put it back in the cradle and wait to heat up again, it was a good idea but just didn't work in reality

You think or you know? Big difference.
I bought the inflatable canoe, it had a leak, took it back and received a replacement in the post. Sorted
