Great, glad u posted , I will love this, I'm buying tomorow:)

You can get a smaller hand held milk frother in argos for £5 and its fab

Yeah but it heats 250ml , so if you needed all this milk then u can add 125ml heated milk to glass, whizz the remaining 125ml to add to the rest of glass, frothy top

The handheld microwave ones are better - easier to clean, more portable and can do milk in smaller quantities. Cheaper too.

For about £6 you can get a multi-quirl / miracle whisk / pogo whisk (it has tons of names). You can heat up a pint of milk if you want in a jug in the micro then whisk it fluffy in under 20 seconds. You can also heat and whisk tiny quantities. No machinery to clean, just run it under the tap. You can also use it for whisking eggs, making mayonnaise, whisking up coffee in water to make a chilled coffee, etc. My son got me one from the local German market two yrs ago and I use it just about every day. No batteries either.

Here's a great tip if your frother is busted. Heat the milk put it in a caffitiere and pump it up and down a few times. Instant froth! Try it, works a treat.

I'm sure that people will use one of these, but I have to admit my first thought was that they were buying it to keep their juicer company

overated, bought a similar one from aldi, doesn't heat it up really hot, just lukewarm!

I agree, but try frothing the milk cold, and then heat in microwave.

if you look at the one on youtube and the one for £5 they are not the same?

Nova Multi Quirl is £15

Don't listen to the comments about shoving it in a microwave and what not! It's a good buy easy to use and the temperature is just right excellent little device

Agreed about the £2 frothers freely avaiable from Amazon and others. This is an easy way to take up counter space for a rarely-used item.

get a half full carton of milk and shake it up, transforms your drink to a frothy mess.

Great item no mess easy to clean, much easier than pouncing about with microwaves and hand held twirlers
