Can these run devices? Or does it need charging up?

I suspect it's for charging only

Looks the same as one I brought from them last year. Rechargeable battery and not s good one, Couldn’t get much if any charge into it using solar, even when we where on holiday in south of France last summer .

Bought two the last time they were in.

They're terrible, near enough useless.

I have seen car power outlets though....
Solar panel battery combos are always a bit of a naff product. To effectively charge a battery you need a much larger solar panel than can be included in the body of a battery pack. Additionally lithium ion batteries do not like being hot, or rather, they like being hot so much they catch fire with excitement. Putting them next to something that gets very hot in direct sunlight is asking for trouble.

Get a big 10W panel and separate battery pack.
Don't confuse this with something worth having!

I even forgot hot it looks like
yes to echo CampGareth, these have to be quite huge to be useful, in most cases the phone being idle can be a greater power drain than what the tiny solar panel can supply. in the saharan sun. never mind an overcast spring day in Wolverhampton.
what's the point if you want to use it in a car as shown in their pic, to save the planet ?

Looks like the guy's above profile pic but I'm not sure Edinburgh has it.
what's the point in having these in a car where you have a massive battery in the very same car?
