This looks to be lidl's version of the karcher window vac but a lot cheaper, don't know if it will be as good though.

I would think it will be just as good. it will have a rubber blade, and it will suck water.

unless the blade has triangle cuts in it, and the motor blows instead of sucks. then it will be exactly the same thing. just without an extortionate price

Interesting that in the Northern & Southern Irish branches... their online leaflet ads state "3 year guarantee." However, this one for the rest of the UK specifically states "3 year manufacturer's warranty."

So does that mean if anything happens after the first year that you can't return it to the Lidl store you purchased it from, it has to go back to Silvercrest the manufacturer?

Bought one of these last time, ended up in the bin absolutely useless, then a friend told me to try her karcher window vac, I was not expecting it to be much use but the karcher window vac actually works, unlike the silver crest one.

hi damo1972, when were they last out? Can't remember seeing them before and also thought the karcher one hasnt been around for very long?

I've been popping in to Lidl's for years now. and I can't say i've ever seen them sell a window vac.
same as i've never seen Aldi's sell a tyre that will fit my BMW.

and why do people always throw expensive stuff straight in the bin?

Anyone else had one of these silvercrest ones before? Tempted but not if it does not work as well as the karcher.

You could return it to the Lidl store under the Sale of Goods Act, but they would probably send it back to Silvercrest for repair.

Just bought from Lidl this morning. Charged it for 3 and a half hours. Did one window -needed charging again. Going back tomorrow

bought one yesterday, works great, just as good as the karcher

Doesn't seem to have as good a battery as the Karcher, but worth a punt at this price.

Thanks, helpful. How's the battery doing so far?

Seems to be a lithium battery going by previous details.

The battery is fine so far, did all the windows yesterday on one charge which is all you basically need after all

How do you find out which branches stock them? I've tried their website and can't see any locally.

they are in stores what a difference in price too the karcher would of bought this myself but got karcher at xmas great find

So what do you do with these? Just wash window like normal with a cloth, then run this over to dry it smear free?

Ideal for getting condensation of the windows in the morning, mine has done two days, on 8 windows and conservatory, and still the battery is Ok.
works as well as the karcher. great value great device

The one from LIDL works brilliantly. No mess and has done 6 windows and 2 pairs of very large patio doors inside and out on first charge!

Rubbish. I had one with a battery lasting 30 seconds. I return it to LIDL the next and got a new one. This one worked once ( if 5 minute with full charge or about three windows qualifies for that ). At the second attempt the battery is gone, it lasts thirty seconds ( less than enough for a window ). Thanks to LIDL , i've payed 19.99 for the benefit of having three windows cleaned ( approximately, it's not spectacular even when it works ). Binned. Great, next time I should think twice.
