Can someone tell me if this is a free range or organic bike?

I never buy transport that has not had a good quality of life.

HEE HEE these bike posts do make me laugh,

Reviews on the argos site are a bit mixed with some criticising the quality of the gears and brakes and as its made of steel it wont be light.

Well worth it for short commutes and light use though!

How do you test the gender of a bike??

Is there something between the forks :):)

This'll keep you fit, dragging all that steel up & down the lanes is much better for you than some carbon-framed ultralight nonsense. And it will help your upper body when you end up pushing it home when bits start falling off.

lol @ pealy

Being fair to the guys that do often tear into these bikes, some take it a bit far but most of the comments I have read are trying to offer decent advice - lots of people on here are asking about commuting everyday or cycling to college/uni - this bike isn't really suitable for everyday use and shouldn't be relied on, but if you want to take the kids to the park on a Sunday it will be ok. Most people also seem to offer help in recommending a second hand bike. Bikes hold their value worse than Korean cars so you can get a good bike very cheap or free (on freecycle).

If you are thinking of buying one of these check out:

and

They're quite fair about these but raise some safety issues about where you buy a bike from and also the cost of getting/keeping these running.

Quite right mosschops - I looked on CRC and Wiggle for £100 bikes and there weren't any. There's a good reason for that but it doesn't mean this isn't a hot deal. If you can't recommend something better then I believe it's proper to keep quiet.

What size bulb does it take?

Ok, i'm looking for a bike for my husband, he's mentioned silverfox before and says he likes the make, we will only be using the bike for riding with the children along cycle paths etc, is this bike suitable for that??

Was this definately Silverfox? Silverfox is a cheap brand used by Argos - Muddyfox make some very good bikes (but not for £100)

For that sort of use I would look for something without suspension.

A) you won't need it on a cycle trail.
B) on a cheap bike it will be crap.
C) if your husband weighs anything more than about six stones it won't work properly anyway.

At this price point suspension is aimed at kids.

You can get this now for £79.99 with the code BIKE20, may help someone.

Im looking for a bike to get me to and from work which is about 5 miles away, all on road, will this suffice?

Or would ]this be a better bike at £99.99 after 20% code?
