Not sure about the quality of silverline stuff but at this price who cares, have heat.

its not bad, wouldn't buy a ratchet from them. but spanners...

Not seen the spanners, but previous Silverline stuff I've bought has been reeeeally poor quality. I wouldn't buy them even at this price.

Probably made of case hardened lead, best avoid unless you want a set to keep in the car.

Looking for a new 10mm might as well have another set!

Buy one

Set of spanners at this cost. Result irrespective of quality - hardly for daily use I would have thought!!

Silverline tools are generally average quality, not great but usually not poor. They are absolutely fine for DIY and at this price you cant go wrong

Voted hot on the deal

The're no Gedore's but what the hell for the price.

Silverline are generally poor quality. They sell their stuff on the premise of a lifetime guarantee. This usually means the lifetime of the product. When it fails it has reached its lifetime, whether thats 13months or 5 years. In other words its a useless gurantee they offer. These are probably pound land quality and will end up rounding your nuts. They do a polished chrome selection of spanners which are ok. As has been said befor their ratchets are rubbish. Their sockets are ok for light use, but like the old adage goes if you are going to rely on tools buy the best you can afford as poor quality tools will cause more headaches than solutions.

Silverline are an importer like Draper and many shop brands. Quality is variable some of their stuff is fantastic quality for the money and some is terrible. Its pot luck basically but you do get reviews of a lot of their stuff on amazon which are worth reading if your considering that item. Often at the same price point you'll find many suppliers offering exactly the same product with their own brand on. Amazon customer service is generally pretty good if your not happy with it.

These people obviously know what they're doing, not like Halfords!
A full set, including 16mm and 18mm.
Take note Half- ords!

They're useful for telling your friends that you're a real man's man, and that you have the tools to take your washer apart.. but in practise, for that price, they may as well be made from toffee

Come on, these are just a spare set to keep in the car and thats it.

Can get a whole socket set for a fiver:

Well Amazon say the set is on its way.
Will try swinging on them and report back

not bad as a spare set about 42p each so voted hot -almost throw away after use, save cleaning the oil off.

Halfords professional tools are just about the best quality/value tools on sale (excluding pure pro tools. eg. Teng / Snap on etc...). And they are available in just about every size you could wish for? Just because you lack the commen sense to read the case before your bought the set, doesnt mean you should blame the retailer.

1. I DID study the case and did not buy the set because of the lack of the stated sizes.
2. I suggest you learn to spell before you try to insult people.
3. It's "common" sense and it looks like YOU are the one without it!

ha ha yes sorry my mistake, so excited about these got trigger happy

Telling you as you seem misinformed. For proper tools that you can rely on, pound for pound theres nothing better then halfords pro so theres no need to knock their tools.

No!
I am NOT misinformed!
Pro 7 piece set, minus 15, 16 and 18mm sizes.
Phaze 18 piece, minus 16 and 18mm.
Pro 10 piece, minus 16 and 18mm sizes!
There will be more examples but I thought that three was sufficient.
And I am not knocking their tools, well,....... yes I am........ sort of.
I'm knocking the tool who decides to put out incomplete "sets" for sale.
So, once again, I am justified in saying "Take note, Half-ords!".
Even a set so cheap that people joke about "toffee" can be supplied complete!
So why did the Half-ords "tool" miss out some tools?
Why did they decide to omit some sizes?
And don't use the red herring "They are not popular sizes" excuse.
There are both 15,16 and 18mm nuts and bolts on both my Puegeot 406 and '56 Mondeo so they are very "popular" with me!
Maybe a 10 piece set seems to be more "complete" if the smaller size is 8mm and the largest one is 19mm.
A "complete" set over that size range would contain12 spanners and not a measly 10!
Half-ords? Cynical? No way?

Err I woul never say that any off their tools were fantastic quality for the money. I thought it was general knowledge that they were just rebranded imports.
