Does magnetisn hurt electronic components. Of course static electricity can

Theoretically it could, but in over 20 years its never happened to me - so on my own stuff i no longer take precautions. Components are generally built more robustly than 30 years ago, using different techniques that are less susceptible to magnetism. The greatest risk IMO was analogue components that would be bent out of shape inside the case with the application of a magnet (think similar to putting a magnet on a clockwork watch). Since most things are now built digitally without many moving parts even this risk has reduced. Its all about Theoretical text book risk Vs actual risk in the real world.

Although of course never stick a magnet on an old style hard drive.

I'm not sure why I would need this. But I want one!

I like it even though I'm a northerner pole.
Back up to £4.48
I have a different make (reliable brand), very similar, I haven't got mine to do anything useful yet.

Tried on my screw drivers, went around trying to pick up any screw I could find, no success.

Just ordered this, out of stock at the moment ,but I'm in no hurry.

I’m drawn to this.
Just buy some neodymium magnets. Infinitely more useful and can be had cheaper than this Poundland special and I have one of these things.

If I remember from school you should stroke the screwdriver across the magnet.

Nah, not sure. I feel quite repelled by this deal.
Hot. Rubbed this against my cat and it had the desired effect.

You were trying to make your cat attractive?
Can't work out whether to be positive or negative about this one.
