Wouldn't normally go for the cheaper brands but heard some good things about Silverline hand tools for DIY use. Quality obviously isn't going to be comparable to those more than 4 times the price like Span On, Draper Expert, Britool Expert etc.

Surely this has to be very cheap for a 3/4" set. Register online within 30 days for lifetime guarantee. Just bought mine so 2 left in stock now but does say that there's more on the way.

Chrome plated
Single-piece, forged ratchet handle with knurled grip
Reverse direction lever
Includes t-bar & extension bar
Includes 12 x 12 point sockets: 22, 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 32, 33, 36, 38, 41 & 46mm

Better off going for a Halfords set imho.
Avoid their stuff like the plague, even if you think "What have I got to lose? Can always get a refund if it breaks"

Err no, the only "support" they do is send you a replacement that's just as carp. I think they bank on the fact that for the sake of a few quid, people won't bother fighting it.

Buy something a bit better quality, the Halfords when half price or Aldi/Lidl stuff is usually good. It's more satisfying when stuff doesn't break just when you need it, and you have to then stop work to find something better at short notice for more ££.

That ratchet mechanism will last less than 6 month with occasional use only, and most likely fail with any pressure over 200nm.

I'm sure the Halfords set is probably better but its over triple the price, 4 times the price when not on offer.

I'm sure some of their stuff is very poor but I know some people that have some of their hand tools and more than happy with them for occasional use.
The reviews for this set look good so for £40 I'll take the chance. It's not gonna be used that often, occasionally taking wheels nuts of a tractor or machinery.

"Occasionally taking wheel nuts of a tractor"

If there's one use for this then trust me, that isn't it.

Changing a cycle wheel maybe.
