LOL Here we go...

cheers ordered.

Silverline = crud

Great ordered thanks - trying this as hubby's chopper isn't working!

Ordered. Nice colour

Piece of junk. It'll seem nice and sharp to start with, and useless pretty soon after.

Cheap tools are NEVER worth buying.

Agree 100%

Light use? Like cutting thin air? Spend £7 and you'll have a saw that'll last 10 times as long and wont blunt after a few uses.

I'm no expert but Irwin saws from screwfix have done me well.

silverline= new blackspur ,go for bahco saws hey will last

bacho are the best on the market. they used to be sandvik and they had a black teflon blade saw which lasted me months and was used nearly every day. cost £12.00 thoughbut worth its weight.

Consoletronic, what a wierd brand to be selling budget saws. Sounds like one of those companies that used to chip playstations.

Perhaps someone who buys this saw can comment on its quality on this thread. Silverline like Draper etc are just importers and some of their stuff is great value and others best avoided.

Perhaps try it on some hardwood.

Are you sure that Bacho saws are same as Sandvik saws? I have a Sandvik saw that is still sharp but it doesn’t have a black Teflon Blade. It isn’t used every day but if it had of been it would have lasted longer than just months.

Every kitchen fitter, chippie and roofer I know use Jack's. Cost a £2.50 (howdens, magnet), last for ages.

Clas Ohlson do a 600mm swedish made (by Bahco?) handsaw for £4.99, so if you're near one it's surely worth an extra £1.38!
