Sorry guys, hadn't realised offer was now 5% off. Still cheap though!

If it's still the case that the till takes off the 5% BEFORE taking into account the 2 for £5 offer, then it would actually work out cheaper again (anyone good at maths who could work it out exactly?)
Also Includes LAMBRINI BIANCO normally £3.05 a bottle.

No idea what this stuff tastes like, but it's usually £3.49 a bottle so at this price i'm prepared to give it a go!

What's confusing you?

Ok so 6x bottles = £11.25 (£1.875p each)
BUT if it's still the case that the till takes off the 25% BEFORE taking into account the 2 for £5 offer, then it would actually work out cheaper again (anyone good at maths who could work it out exactly?)

Ok, let me see if I can explain in 'simple' terms.

Silvery Bay is normally £3.49 per bottle.
Lambrini Bianco is normally £3.05 per bottle.
You can buy any 2 of these for £5.

There's an offer on in Tesco - 25% off when you buy 6 bottles (or more) of wine (you can mix n match, doesn't have to be the same 6 bottles).
In the past, the till has taken the 25% off the total price, before taking into account any other offer.

So what i'm saying above is:
a) you can buy 2x bottles for £5
or
b) buy 6 or more, get 25% off = £11.25 for 6 (£1.88 per bottle) OR less if the till takes the 25% off BEFORE it takes the 2 for £5 into consideration (as I say, no good with maths so can't work out how much that'd be)

Obviously it works slightly different with the Lambrini as it was cheaper to start with, but same offer applies.

Better?

if you haven't already given it a go, DO NOT
it is awful wine, WHY, becuase it is ENGLISH
only good for making gravy or sauces
obviously this is only my opinion

Does the explanation really need to be this long winded

So basically you are saying you get both discounts applied for 2 and 6 bottles?

No, you only get 2 for £5 if you only buy two.
It works out a lot cheaper to buy 6 or more.

Is there anyone about who could work out the price IF the till takes off the 25% before taking the £5 for 2 into account.......... PLEASE?

Help me out someone lol

25% off 6 bottles offer finished last week - now just 5%

This wine is 8% vol alcohol by the way.

In that case it is more expensive as the last discount to be applied would be 2 for £5 so £15 for 6 bottles

Edit: This is what i was on about i didnt get the logic behind it

Well no, because you'd still get 5% off 6x bottles or more before the offer was applied - you wouldn't be paying £15 for 6x bottles if there's 5% off would you?

Thanks for letting me know danthemanj - will go change the info as wasn't aware this offer had changed/finished.

Think you need to check your emails!

Sillver Bay is the rankest wine I have ever tasted-avoid!

PMSL yes I do have a few don't I - fortunately it's unlimited storage with Yahoo, so I don't have to

anything with single figure alcohol content shouldn't be classed as wine

Got to agree with that!! saw this offer today in Tesco, anybody thinking of buying this should simply read the label where it says "Best served chilled over Ice! as that about sums up how bad this wine is...!!!

RANCID had the white wine, literally tastes like toilet cleaner. Thank goodness the school were asking for draw prizes !!
