heat for the price, OP. I've heard some bad things about Origin, is there anything particularly evil about it?

its EA that do origin, they are literally hitler

Not really sure with Origin, thought a lot of hate was due to having to connect to EA servers to play this but you can play offline now. My boys love the old Sim City so this will make a nice little gift on Christmas Day.

Origin isn't that bad anymore. EA are not as evil as they used to be

EA is still evil

Steam are bad too, with their lack of vetting of Green Light games etc, but no where near as bad as EA.

I've never had any real issues with Origin, they even give you free games from time to time.

yep Origin has improved a lot and at least its not Uplay. So if you like the game origin is fine its just annoying to have yet another program and another set of loggins.

I've been using it for a while now for Dragon Age Inquisition. and its much more stable and a better experience than even 6 months ago. Steam is still way better but then they had more time to improve it. People seem to forget how rubbish steam was for the first couple of years.

As others have said, its not all that bad. I personally would use it over steam for most games if things weren't so expensive.

On the deal, great price for a now great game. Definitely a lot of fun, and even at release I thought it wasn't too bad (bar the server issues).

I went for the complete version for £12.49

Thanks for the info.

Hot Deal. Managed to get this from tesco for a fiver (actually £2 due to coupon codes)

Now if only BF4 was that price....

You can play this offline?

I redeemed my code with my game into origin, downloaded the game onto my mac. Play offline on the train on single player mode! Happy days

And they actually guarantee their games. If it doesn't work or you just don't like it you can get a refund; within a day if you've launched it or a week if you haven't. Steam may be good on prices but it has a non-existent customer service and apparently doesn't seem to give a damn about its customers satisfaction. The occasional decent freebie is good too.

definitely agree. steam customer service is the worst experience - basically nonexistent

I'm sure everybody with the base game of Skyrim knows exactly how that feels... and Dishonored as well probably.

I know its stupid that this happens and just shows how much of a ripoff expansions are. At least we get them on PC though.

Steam are worse than origin now in their attitude. See how they blocked trades from any region that doesnt get price gouged, or that abomination of a gem auction thing, or the curators, or the shockingly bad sale.

Also, 4.72 if bought from mexico

Done and done. Playing Sim City 4 for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages now. Love it. For a fiver I'll take a punt on this, nice one. Thanks for the heads up

i just got sims 2000 for free after not logging into origin for about a year, so 2 sims games for 4.99

Sweet, missed this last time it was super cheap and have been waiting, cheers OP

paid £70 for this lol ages ago tho.

I have my doubts that anywhere was selling this for 70 quid and that anyone was stupid enough to pay 70 quid for it.

Whats all this about Steam and not owning games?

Valve can revoke your access to Steam, and along with it all of the games in your library. Not 100% on the licensing terms but I've heard of people losing everything when they've been caught breaking the TOS.

+1 to that.

On topic, arguably the complete edition is worth the extra £7 if you're interested in the game. Having played online with people who had the complete edition, some of the additions to the game do look quite good.

Oh how I would love this game if the maps were bigger ;/

Wow that's cheap!

Now £7.99
