Good deal..

Make massive cities in the most comprehensive SimCity™ ever!

In SimCity™ 4, you don’t just build your city; you breathe life into it. Sculpt mountains, dig riverbeds, and seed forests as you lay the groundwork for your creation. Then, use your god-like powers to construct the most realistic metropolis you can imagine.

Whether you want to build mansions on mountainsides or cross canyons with bridges, the impact of your decisions is immediate. But while each click of the mouse can create, it has equal capacity to destroy. Capping an erupting volcano might save your city, or it might reroute lava down busy city streets. Sending police to quell a riot might calm down the crowd, or it might spur even further anarchy. With every decision you make, your city and your Sims will respond – for better or for worse. It’s up to you to be their guide.

The SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition includes both SimCity 4 and the Rush Hour expansion pack, which gives you more control over your city’s transportation options, plus two bonus disasters: UFO attack and Autosaurus Wrecks.

Features:

Bring Your City to Life - Create and control the most life-like metropolis you can imagine.

Sculpt Your World - Breathe life into your city right from the start. Form mountains, carve valleys, plant forests, and raise oceans. New landscape creation features give you unprecedented control to lay the groundwork for your ultimate city.

Experience Life in the Big City - From mellow traffic flow to commuter hell, noontime crowds to nighttime calm, partygoers to troublemakers, the movement in your city is ever-changing and unpredictable.

Connect With Your Creation - Feel the pulse of your city in the most responsive, personal, and satisfying SimCity™ yet. Whether booming with expansion, decaying through neglect, or left abandoned, the new SimCity™ simulation engine gives you immediate feedback so you can react to its every need.

Protect Your Sims - Dispatch police cruisers to fight crime, get control of a tornado before it starts, or cap an erupting volcano threatening your citizens. You have ultimate power at your fingertips – but don’t be surprised if your efforts have unforeseen results.

This can also be activated on origin, though you need to contact support to do it as it's an old game. Did this last time I wanted to play it and didn't want to have to put the cd in.

The best Sim City game released to date.

Sure, and a car can be driven over a cliff. Doesn't make it a good idea.

Actually for some games origin is ok, it just gives you a no cd version that can be launched without origin. Installed through origin, added to steam as non steam game and don't have to open origin again for it.
Ordered mine!
How do you add to steam as non steam game and does that mean its always available through steam?

It's just a shortcut. Go to your games library, "add a game", then there's an option to add a non-steam game to your list.
It looks awful dated now.
Tempted to get this until the new one irons out/lowers in price! Heat for the price!
Voted hot as I ordered that game via zavvi on sunday for £4.98

It's not that bad. You soon get over the lack of over the top depth of field and vulgar bloom effects that most modern games impose. Once you do you will discover hours of fun.
Comes with the controversial "always OFF DRM" allowing you to play the game you bought whenever you feel like.

Doubt it will catch on.
Very good game, been playing it as my PC would never run the new SimCity. Been switching between this and SimCity 3000 and I feel that SimCity 4 is a harder game!
Thanks. Was looking to buy this for £7 on eBay earlier.
Less than a fiver for this much of a time sink. Absolute steal!

As much as I want to get the latest Sim City, I'm just not impressed by the always connected buggy features.
FYI, this is always in the sales from all the online stores for £2.50.

that's a sweeping statement and untrue ... why waste time making negative comments like that?
Boycott EA.

They are one of the most anti-consumer companies going and they will never change until people stop giving them money.

They will carry on murdering your cherished franchises with the supposed goal of stopping pirates.

Why should you, a paying customer, be punished because of illegal pirating of games?
Hot hot hot.

You're right, that's a decent screen grab, it doesn't look that dated at all. I take my initial comment back (genuine, no sarcasm).

I went back to playing Sim City 4 after playing Civ5 so found the graphical contrast to be pretty sharp.

I have just bought a copy, its a LONG time since I played Sim City.... I think it was the first one I played

I could never really get the hang of Sim City 4, I used to spend too much money, and then be forced to accept landfill sites, prisons and military bases, and then go bust anyway
First simcity I played I would always eventually get bored and rain down destruction (ufo etc)
Out of stock :-(
This game is over 10 years ago, makes me wonder how much i saved with torrents until today.
