I wouldn't go near Huawei anymore, just too be on the safe side. Too risky that you'll get a phone that you can't use because the play store and updates will be blocked.

I'm not 100% sure I'm correct. Maybe someone knows for sure

Agreed. Much the same story on the BBC below. Any company that says 'Survival is our top priority' is to be avoided for me.

Top phone, but I got one for my daughter for £180, from Very using the £50 off first purchase credit offer they have. 0% interest when paid inside time limit (3 months I think)

Huawei global share

Yeah..... definitely look doomed.....

Not really about Trump, although he might like to think it is,

this company have a shady history, and as a direct result shouldn't be trusted providing delicate network infrastructure.

However, don't think they can cause much damage with their phones... although i wouldn't buy one personally, with or without the google services ban. They actively cheat benchmarks to fool the uninformed.

They also mostly copy and don't innovate, just look at that god awful notch..... this parasitic company are an Apple wannabe.. which is actually quite sad in itself. They have been found out and fined for stealing many companies IP through the years (Cisco, Motorola etc) much like many Chinese products that show no respect for copyrights and intellectual property.

But, you pays your money and takes your choice.

The ramifications of the current play ban haven't really taken effect, ....given also that their phones have been selling at cut down prices. And Huawei have some agreement so they don't have to declare their full financial details. They can easily hide losses.

All Current Huawei phones will be fine with security updates and play store!

Only the upcoming Huawei phones will not have access to security updates or play store, which is why Mate 30 has only released in China and will not come to europe! And will likely be the same for the P40 which will release in March 2020.

Don't assume anything is my advice, I have known about this company for years, way before the recent US agendas... furthermore i have never voted in UK politics in my life, never even registered to vote... they're all self serving ******... with no exceptions.... and politics is prohibited on these forums.

So, no you're not right

Sorry cannot remember, may not even be a code to enter, just automatically refunded after first purchase, but you have to sign up for their credit, but you can pay off in full straight away if you want. It is all on their website.

Are any other phone brands like this? Don't wanna buy one and find out about this after.
