The Motorola DEFY is a smartphone with a difference!

Running the Android 2.1 OS, this multi-touch mobile withstands minor shocks and dust, and can be submerged in water to depths of 1 metre for around 30 minutes. It can also be slipped effortlessly into your bag or pocket, perfect if you can't go without your phone.

Motorblur on the DEFY gives you instant internet access and helps you manage information on social networks. The built-in 5-megapixel camera comes equipped with an LED flash and is teamed with a 1.2 GB storage capacity, so you'll have plenty of space for all your shots. The integrated memory can be expanded with the use of a memory card.

And that's not all! The DEFY by Motorola works with a variety of audio and video formats, and it offers a wide range of connectivity options such as Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11 b/g. The GPS chip on the DEFY Motorola keeps you heading in the right directions. And thousands of additional applications can be downloaded from the Android Market.

Make life easier for yourself with the Motorola DEFY!

Alternatively, for an extra £108.24, 24 months of 100 mins/unlimited texts/500MB data on T-Mobile (and free roaming onto Orange, when necessary). An extra £190.88 gets 24 months of 300 mins/unlimited texts/500MB data. SIM locked, though, obviously (an official unlock code is £15, but third-party unlocking code services can often be found advertised on eBay for ~£6).

Defy and also Motorola Flipout are very hard to unlock. The 6 quid merchants on ebay may say "all Motorolas" but when you enquire it's either a flat no for the Defy or a much heftier fee. Also, you normally have to wait at least 3 months before Orange, Tmobile, etc will sell you the unlock code (usually about £30 from them afaik)

I know this post is pretty much dead now but I had to reply to your comment. You see, when a poster quotes a previous post you are supposed to READ that post to know what he/she is commenting on. The person above who was saying that a contract was a good deal and that unlocking was simple needed to be corrected. Don't immediately take offence at someone's post if you dont take the time to understand what it is referring to.
